Sirio launches longevity platform at Vitafoods Europe 2026 to boost healthy habits

Sirio Europe launched the Aeion longevity platform at Vitafoods this year. Maria Pavlidou, director of Marketing and Communications, explained that the platform combines scientific ingredients for healthy aging in delivery formats that put the consumer experience at the center. She said this aims to help them build long-term, healthy habits, which is key to longevity. Aeion focuses on both prevention and symptom management, with eight product concepts, targeting health areas such as joint support and cellular energy.

Aker BioMarine has announced that a new study on its krill oil Superba demonstrates it may reduce chronic muscle and joint pain in adults aged 60 and above. The company considers the finding a “promising direction for future research.” The US-based study used multiple tools to examine whether krill oil is an achievable method for chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) pain management and if it enhances mobility. It also investigated krill oil’s biological effects by tracking key blood fatty acid changes.
Instytutum launches longevity supplement and at-home biological age test

Instytutum, a Swiss longevity brand, has unveiled a precision Liposomal NMN + Trans-Resveratrol supplement, accompanied by an at-home biological age test. The supplement aims to support cellular energy, mental clarity, physical performance, metabolic health, overall vitality, and beauty-from-within. It uses a liposomal version of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), which the company says is one of the “closest and most bioavailable” precursors of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+). 
Sabinsa gains Alkemist Assured seal verification for Shaganda ashwagandha

Sabinsa’s ashwagandha root extract Shaganda has received the Alkemist Assured seal from Alkemist Labs — a third-party verification mark indicating that a product has been rigorously tested for safety, potency, purity, and identity. Shagandha is derived from Withania somnifera dried roots, and is standardized to a minimum of 2.5% withanolides and 0.25% withaferin A. It is also free from aerial plant parts, which the company says is important as ashwagandha root powder may be adulterated with undisclosed plant parts, additives, or diluents.

According to a report on US teens, adolescents are using anabolic steroids much less than they did two decades ago, despite softening perceptions of steroid dangers. Meanwhile, creatine use has risen rapidly in recent years as a muscle-building sports nutrition supplement. The authors are concerned about the rapid increase in creatine use among adolescents because pediatric guidance recommends that adolescents avoid these products due to limited evidence on safety and efficacy in youth.

Kerry Dairy Ireland has announced a corporate rebrand under the name “Kinisla,” while also unveiling a €300 million (US$349 million) five-year investment plan across its Consumer Foods and Nutritional Ingredients business divisions. The new corporate identity is poised to “turbocharge” Kinisla’s innovation pipeline and marks the next phase of growth for the company. It also reinforces the company’s “bold outlook for the future,” while reflecting its return to Irish roots with the transition to full farmer ownership by 2035.
