Youtheory introduces citrus and chili extracts for healthy weight management
05 Jul 2021 --- Youtheory is tapping into botanicals for weight management with its new supplement Daily Fat Burner. The formula blends 450 mg of Fytexia’s Sinetrol Citrus Fruit Blend and 50 mg of OmniActive Health Technologies’ Capsimax to support fat loss.
Sinetrol combines extracts from grapefruit, orange, guarana seed and blood orange standardized to 90 percent polyphenols. Youtheory maintains citrus fruits are “bursting with nutrition.” Next to their high vitamin C content, citrus fruits also supply polyphenol compounds that can help break down fat inside the body.
Capsimax is a concentrated extract of capsaicinoids from red chili peppers. It helps support healthy metabolism to burn calories, induce thermogenesis with the additional benefit of appetite suppression.
In addition to these two ingredients, Daily Fat Burner also contains 200 mcg of chromium, which is a trace mineral that contributes to carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism.
Weight loss motivation
Youtheory positions Daily Fat Burner as a viable option for reducing abdominal fat, waist and hip circumference and body weight, as well as improving inflammatory, glycemic and oxidative status.
Innova Market Insights reveals four in ten adults worldwide are overweight, with 13 percent being obese. Two in three consumers are changing their diets, with weight loss being the top motivator (67 percent).
However, 54 percent also want to improve their nutrition, followed by goals to feel fit and well (46 percent), prevent health conditions and feel better about themselves (both 41 percent).
Previously, NutritionInsight reported how natural ingredients for weight loss are on the rise, as COVID-19 has caused consumers to “put on the pandemic pounds.”
“Our modern lifestyle can hinder the amount of time a person has to dedicate to family, jobs, school and even fitness so an extra push can be welcomed to achieve weight goals,” says Darren Rude, CEO.
Youtheory sells a range of natural ingredient supplements, with a recent launch targeting collagen for hair and skin health. In 2020, the company received USP certification for its Turmeric Extra Strength supplement.
