Roquette launches new business groups after IFF Pharma Solutions acquisition
After completing the acquisition of IFF Pharma Solutions, Roquette announces a new organizational structure to enhance agility and customer responsiveness. The company is adding two new business groups to hone in on customer and market needs — the Health & Pharma Solutions Business Group and the Nutrition & Bioindustry Business Group.
“Building on our robust and integrated business model, Roquette is strengthening its organization by creating two well-balanced and complementary Business Groups,” says Pierre Courduroux, CEO of Roquette. “Each Business Group will be equipped with dedicated assets, capabilities, and teams to better serve our customers while continuing to operate under the Roquette brand.”
With the acquisition of IFF Pharma Solutions and Roquette’s purchase of Qualicaps in 2023, the company says it has significantly expanded its global footprint and portfolio diversity.
Moreover, Roquette says it reinforces its commitment to deliver innovative solutions globally by bringing a more balanced offering between its health and nutrition sectors.
The company appoints Isabelle Bouvier, its CFO, as CEO of the Health & Pharma Solutions Business Group and Pascal Leroy as CEO of the Nutrition & Bioindustry Business Group. Meanwhile, Béatrice Totel will replace Bouvier as Roquette’s CFO.

Health & Pharma Solutions
Roquette’s Health & Pharma Solutions Business Group aims to address complex challenges in drug delivery and patient care as a player in pharmaceutical excipients. With its team, the company aims to offer greater agility in customer service and product development.
The business group’s new CEO, Bouvier, has led the acquisition processes of Qualicaps in 2023 and IFF Pharma Solutions, which was first announced in March 2024.
She comments: “Over the past few years, we have accelerated Roquette’s positioning as a key partner for major pharmaceutical companies, with our track record, the recent acquisition of Qualicaps, and now the acquisition of IFF Pharma Solutions. I am delighted to lead the merger of these three entities into a single, unified Business Group.”
Health & Pharma Solutions will focus on excipients, while Nutrition & Bioindustry will serve food and nutrition, animal feed, and bioindustry.Bouvier highlights that the integration will strengthen Roquette’s health and pharma activities by combining the “industry’s largest portfolio” of oral drug delivery solutions, technological expertise, a global footprint, and its ability to serve customers worldwide.
“In partnership with our customers, our teams are committed to discovering and delivering the best solutions to improve the lives of millions of patients worldwide.”
Roquette also recently launched a “high-performance” platform for innovative pharmaceutical coatings to help meet the growing demand for eco-conscious solutions in pharma, nutraceutical, and OTC markets.
Nutrition and bioindustry
Several business and product lines from IFF Pharma Solutions are integrated into Roquette’s Nutrition & Bioindustry Business Group to enhance its expertise in food and selected industrial applications. The business group will serve the food and nutrition, animal nutrition, and bio-based industrial market segments.
Leroy, the unit’s new CEO, comments: “Our nutrition and bioindustry activities have driven the company to where it is today. As we bring them together in our Business Group, I look forward to building on our strong operational capabilities and to providing innovative solutions that meet the ever-evolving needs of our markets.
“Our ambition is to become the leading supplier of plant-based ingredients that contribute to healthier, tastier foods, and more sustainable lifestyles. Our teams are fully engaged and ready to achieve this goal.”
Earlier this year, Nutrition Insight met with Roquette to discuss how the company harnesses AI in nutrition innovations, aiming to boost consumer engagement.
