Nestlé is launching its Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends, an oral supplement suitable for on-the-go pouches for children with special nutritional needs.
The supplement comes in Banana Blueberry and Banana Mango flavors. They are made with over 50% fruits and other nutrients, including rice and pea proteins, minerals, and vitamins for a balanced nutritional profile.
The Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends are made for children with special nutritional needs when being away from home, as a way for parents to ensure their children get the right nutrition on-the-go.
“We heard from parents who wanted their children who require specialized medical nutrition to enjoy their food while also getting the nutrition they need to thrive. At the same time, they wanted options that didn’t look too clinical; they wanted packaging that was child-friendly,” says Martin Halbeis, head of international markets at Nestlé Health Science.

“Our teams built on our decades of real-food medical nutrition expertise to develop Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends, a first-of-its-kind product that meets the nutritional and lifestyle needs of families.”
The pouches will be available in Denmark, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Switzerland in March and April 2026. The company is planning to expand the launch geographically later this year.
The company notes that the Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends are food products for specific medical purposes and should be used only under medical supervision.
Nestlé in other news
Nestlé recently expanded its Materna range of nutritional supplements for multistage maternal well-being with the inclusion of Materna Expert Healthy Pregnancy and Materna Expert Post-Birth Recovery. The products are backed by more than a decade of research that encompasses 17 patents and more than 20 peer-reviewed publications.
The company has faced previous backlash over its leading infant and early childhood nutrition brands sold in low- and middle-income countries for containing high levels of added sugar, as opposed to the same products sold in wealthy nations, according to investigative reports by the Swiss NGO The Public Eye.
The reports by the NGO claim the Swiss nutritional company’s brands Cerelac and Nestum sold in Africa contain added sugar, while the same products on the European market are refined-sugar-free. However, the company disputed the accusations, and a spokesperson from Nestlé told Nutrition Insight that the report contains “misleading and unfounded allegations.”
The company also recently recalled some of its infant nutrition products due to the detection of cereulide, a toxin that is produced by Bacillus cereus. This toxin can cause sudden nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain 30 minutes to six hours after ingestion.
