Aloha Medicinals debuts FungiFuse functional mushroom ingredient portfolio

Aloha Medicinals has launched FungiFuse, a new portfolio of functional mushroom solutions that are designed to help brands formulate without compromising taste, color, or mouthfeel. The ingredient supplier says the ready-to-formulate solutions deliver functionality, solubility, and flexibility for supplement, beverage, and functional food applications.
The company introduced FungiFuse at the ongoing IFT First trade show in Chicago, Illinois, US (Jul 12–15).
“The mushroom category has grown rapidly over the past few years, but there have been challenges with taste, texture, and processing limitations of traditional mushroom ingredients,” says Tony Nguyen, VP of Sales at Aloha.
“FungiFuse solves those challenges and provides brands with solutions that are easy to formulate with and enjoyable to consume.”
Mushroom wellness
The portfolio includes four targeted solutions to support fast-growing wellness categories: Focus, Energy, Daily, and Relax.
The Focus solution features lion’s mane, cordyceps, and chaga mushrooms to support mental clarity, cognitive performance, and concentration.
Energy combines cordyceps and lion’s mane with shiitake to promote clean, sustained energy and focus “without the crash of traditional stimulants,” according to the company.
The Daily solution is designed to support immune function, overall wellness, and daily balance with a seven-mushroom blend rich in beta-glucans.
Lastly, Relax combines reishi, maitake, and turkey tail to support relaxation, stress balance, and restorative recovery.
Aloha Medicinals notes that the FungiFuse solutions maintain a clean sensory experience and manufacturing efficiency. The ingredients are highly soluble and have a neutral flavor to enable their use in a range of applications, such as ready-to-drink beverages, functional shots, powdered drink mixes, bars, and dietary supplements.
Moreover, the ingredients are available in organic and non-GMO options and do not contain carriers or fillers. The company uses DNA-verified mushroom ingredients.
