Vitafoods Europe 2025: Morinaga Milk wins innovation award for cognitive health probiotic

Morinaga Milk’s probiotic MCC1274 was awarded the Vitafoods Innovation Award for Cognitive and Emotional Health Ingredients. Saki Yamashita, the company’s marketing manager, explained that this is the first single bifidobacteria strain in the world to be shown to improve cognitive function. MCC1274’s preventative action supports aging consumers to maintain memory. Yamashita also highlighted new research results on the company’s M-63 probiotic, which supports the infant’s gut microbiota in early-life nutrition by increasing bifidobacteria.
