The neuroepigenetics professor at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, and long-term research partner of Gnosis by Lesaffre, explains how one-carbon metabolism influences brain function by regulating neurotransmitter synthesis and gene expression. Disruption of this metabolism can lead to cognitive decline, particularly in patients with dementia.
