WeNatal fertility supplements support energy, mood and libido for men and women
Key takeaways
- Three months of consistent WeNatal fertility supplement use significantly improved participant-reported energy, mood, and libido for both men and women.
- A female study showed a 30.8% average increase in crucial vitamin D3 blood levels alongside noticeable reductions in bloating and vaginal dryness.
- A male study revealed a 47% increase in sex life satisfaction and a 41% boost in libido scores over the course of the sperm development cycle.

WeNatal has released the results of two clinical studies by independent tester Citruslabs — one for men and the other for women — supporting the efficacy of its preconception supplement. Three months of consistent WeNatal consumption was associated with improved nutrient status and participant-reported measures of energy, mood, libido, and overall well-being.
Despite male factors contributing to roughly half of all infertility cases, the brand stresses that men’s preconception health is “vastly understudied.” It highlights that fertility support isn’t just about one moment, but dependent on a person’s “whole picture” of optimal nutrient status, which supports the body’s natural processes across all fertility stages.
Alongside the male study tracking significant improvements in male vitality and reproductive health, the female study demonstrated a statistically significant rise in crucial vitamin D3 blood biomarkers — offering hard data on correcting systemic deficiencies during the preconception window.
WeNatal’s product lineup includes WeNatal For Her, featuring 24 bioavailable nutrients in science-backed doses, like choline and methylated folate, and WeNatal For Him, formulated with 20 targeted nutrients such as the antioxidant CoQ10, zinc, and N-acetyl cysteine (NAC).
Energy was the first health aspect to improve for both men and women, which kept building across all three months.
“At WeNatal, we believe preconception health belongs to both partners, and that men deserve the same level of proactive, research-backed support that women are often encouraged to seek,” says Lisa Dreher, nutrition director at WeNatal.
“For Her” trial powers women’s energy
The “For Her” clinical study included 40 women between the ages of 18 and 45. The three-month research period reflected three menstrual cycles. While blood biomarkers for total vitamin D and D3 were tracked at baseline and cycle, researchers examined participant-reported levels of energy, mood, fatigue, bloating, anxiety, and vaginal dryness.

Energy was the first health aspect to improve for both men and women, which kept building across all three months.
After WeNatal supplementation, women’s mood scores improved by an average of nearly 45% from baseline by the third menstrual cycle, representing the single largest improvement across the entire study. Notably, 62.5% of participants agreed their mood had improved, and all eight well-being parameters showed statistically significant improvement by the third cycle.Energy was among the earliest participant-reported changes within the very first cycle, with 75% of women reporting feeling less fatigued by the end of the cycle.
Women’s blood levels of vitamin D3 — a key nutrient for reproductive health and pregnancy wellness — increased by an average of 30.8%.
Around three in four women experienced less bloating, with frequency dropping by more than 33% over the course of the clinical study; a statistically significant result. It was one of the first improvements women noticed, as 65% agreed they experienced less bloating as early as the first cycle.
One in two women experienced less vaginal dryness, with its frequency dropping by nearly 37% over three months; the largest symptom frequency reduction in the clinical study. “This is a symptom many women experience but rarely talk about, and it showed statistically significant improvement starting from cycle one,” highlights WeNatal.
“For Him” study boosts libido scores
In the “For Him” clinical study, 40 men above the age of 30 underwent blood work and semen analysis. The main benchmarks of the study were energy, libido, sex drive, erection frequency, and muscular endurance.
The three-month trial timeframe reflected the approximate 74-day sperm development cycle. Their overall satisfaction with sex life improved — rising by nearly 47% over three months following supplementation — which is the largest gain of any parameter in this study.
More than half of the participants agreed their libido and sexual arousal had increased by the third month.Libido scores grew by more than 41% over three months, a statistically significant result. More than half of the participants agreed their libido and sexual arousal had increased by the third month. This was one of eight out of nine parameters that showed statistically significant improvement by the end of the clinical study.
Meanwhile, the frequency of achieving an erection during sexual activity improved by more than 28% over three months, which was statistically significant. Ease of maintaining an erection improved by more than 30%. Both of these findings started as early as the first month.
Men’s energy levels improved by nearly 29% within the first month; the most notable early finding in the clinical study. By the third month, the improvement had reached 31%.
In recent developments in the space, men’s sexual wellness supplement brand Bult launched its flagship once-daily supplement system, designed as a foundational men’s health formula rather than a stimulant-based performance product. Nutrition Insight recently caught up with the brand on how the formula is anchored on supporting vascular health, hormone balance, stress resilience, and metabolic health over time.
