Bult’s nutrition strategy for long-term men’s sexual wellness & health
Key takeaways
- Bult will launch a daily supplement system this summer that prioritizes long-term metabolic and vascular health over the short-term effects of traditional stimulants.
- The formulation utilizes highly absorbable nutrients and botanicals like ashwagandha and citrulline malate to support nitric oxide production and natural hormone signaling.
- A specialized prebiotic and probiotic blend is integrated into the core formula to maximize nutrient absorption and stabilize digestion.

Men’s sexual wellness supplement brand Bult is gearing up to launch its flagship once-daily supplement system this summer, designed as a foundational men’s health formula rather than a stimulant-based performance product. Rather than relying only on ingredients that provide short-term stimulation, Bult is anchored on supporting vascular health, hormone balance, stress resilience, and metabolic health over time.
The system will include three components: a “Core” micronutrient formula, a “Vitality” botanical blend, and omega-3 support.
Ahead of the launch, Nutrition Insight speaks to Jim White, a registered dietitian nutritionist who serves as a nutrition expert and consultant for Bult, about how the company’s model competes with both legacy supplement brands and prescription therapies for erectile dysfunction.

“The men’s health market has expanded significantly in recent years. In the past, many products focused mainly on bodybuilding or short-term performance. Today, there is more focus on longevity, hormonal health, mental well-being, metabolic health, and overall vitality,” he tells us.
“Telehealth has also increased awareness of treatments for issues like low testosterone and erectile dysfunction. Bult fits between traditional supplements and prescription treatments. Many older supplements use large blends with unclear dosing, while prescription medications are designed to treat specific medical conditions.”
Mechanistic differences
White stresses that Bult’s once-daily system does not aim to replace medical treatments but to support the underlying lifestyle and health factors that influence men’s health over time.
“Our approach differs from stimulant-based sexual performance products,” explains White. “Instead of stimulating the nervous system for short-term effects, Bult focuses on supporting the underlying systems that influence long-term male health and performance.”
Bult’s once-daily system does not aim to replace medical treatments but to support the underlying lifestyle and health factors that influence men’s health over time.Rather than a standard multivitamin, Bult’s “Core” formula utilizes a specific cluster of nutrients commonly associated with men’s metabolic and endocrine health — including zinc picolinate, magnesium, and vitamin D3 — to bolster the body’s natural hormone signaling and vascular function.
“Bult focuses on ingredient quality and absorption,” adds White. He details that the formula includes absorbable nutrient forms such as zinc picolinate, magnesium glycinate/citrate, and methylated B vitamins, like methylcobalamin, an active vitamin B12 form, and 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, the active form of folate (vitamin B9).
“The formula also includes a prebiotic and probiotic blend to support gut health and nutrient absorption.”
Botanical “Vitality” formula
Meanwhile, Bult’s Vitality formula features a botanical blend that targets the body’s internal production of nitric oxide — a key component for healthy circulation and vasodilation — while supporting stress resilience and endocrine balance.
Plant compounds in this libido-focused formula include pygeum, epimedium, and maca extracts. It also has L-citrulline malate that has been shown to increase blood flow (vasodilation) and reduce muscle fatigue.
“The botanical blend combines ingredients that support nitric oxide and circulation, such as citrulline malate and beet root, with traditional vitality botanicals like ginseng, maca, muira puama, and epimedium.”
“It also includes standardized botanical extracts like KSM-66 ashwagandha, which is well studied and standardized for active compounds.”
Moreover, the formula includes omega-3s from fish oil, providing 370 mg of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 150 mg of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) along with sunflower lecithin (1,200 mg) that supports lipid metabolism and absorption of the healthy fatty acids.
Plant compounds in the libido-focused formula include pygeum, epimedium, and maca extracts.“We support normal body functions rather than making treatment claims,” underscores White. “The messaging centers on supporting healthy testosterone levels already within the normal range, vascular health and nitric oxide production, stress resilience and sleep, and metabolic and cellular health.”
“These areas support long-term male vitality rather than promising quick performance effects. This approach follows supplement regulations by focusing on supporting normal physiology rather than treating medical conditions.”
Scope of scientific backing
White explains that the company’s formulas are primarily backed by ingredient-level science rather than finished-product clinical trials, which are required for full-formula validation.
“For circulation, there’s solid human data on ingredients like L-citrulline and nitrate sources supporting nitric oxide pathways, endothelial function, and blood flow,” he notes.
“Panax ginseng also has some evidence in erectile function, though effects are modest. For testosterone and hormonal support, ashwagandha has the strongest data — showing improvements in testosterone and stress markers in certain male populations.”
Zinc particularly plays a role in deficiency states, he notes. “For stress and energy, again ashwagandha stands out with consistent reductions in cortisol and perceived stress, along with improvements in sleep and overall well-being.”
“These studies typically use vascular measures like flow-mediated dilation or erectile function scores for circulation, serum testosterone and related hormones for endocrine effect and cortisol, perceived stress scales, and fatigue or sleep metrics for stress and energy.”
