Study backs LifeVantage’s supplement stack for gene-activated weight management and healthy aging

Nutrigenomics specialist LifeVantage Corporation has released the results of a “groundbreaking” third-party cell study on the synergistic impact of its weight management supplements — the Protandim Nrf2 Synergizer and the MindBody GLP-1 System. 

LifeVantage’s Protandim Nrf2 Synergize claims to reduce oxidative stress by 40% in 30 days by activating pathways to support the body’s ability to produce antioxidants, reduce cellular stress and repair cells. Each capsule contains a proprietary blend of milk thistle, bacopa, ashwagandha, green tea and turmeric extract.

The MindBody GLP-1 System is a patent-pending two-product system that claims to increase GLP-1 by an average of 140%, balancing hunger hormones without injections or prescriptions required.

The new study demonstrates that when used in a combination branded as the “Healthy Weight Stack,” the two products amplify each other’s benefits while activating 22 genes that target key causes of age-related organ decline.

The company states that the offering helps organs stay structurally strong, support tissue cells’ regeneration and repair and improve coordination, signaling and impulses with tissue cells and nerves.

Enhancing antioxidant defense

Key findings from the study highlight how the products complement and enhance each other’s benefits.

Four additional antioxidant pathways were activated for “enhanced antioxidant defense,” supporting Protandim Nrf2 Synergizer to help cells make antioxidants needed to combat oxidative stress and promote cellular resilience.

Nine additional fat and fatty acid metabolism pathways were activated, increasing the efficacy of the MindBody GLP-1 System to help the body use and distribute fat effectively and enhancing the breakdown of unhealthy visceral fat in the midsection.

The study also demonstrated the Healthy Weight Stack’s synergistic effects in promoting “synergistic organ health” by activating 22 new genes to help cells restore optimal organ strength, structure and communication.

Gene-targeted areas of organ aging 

The three key areas of organ aging addressed with the 22 genes were:

• Cellular adhesion, which is involved in cell barrier and tissue strength. This was improved through the activation of genes like ICAM5 (+1246%) and FBLIM1 (+605%).
• Pro-survival pathways, which impacts the ability of tissue cells to regenerate and repair. This was supported by activation of genes like SGPL1 (+1731%) and PLPP2 (+572%).
• Chemical and electrical signaling, which affects the coordination between tissue cells. This was optimized through activation of genes like RNF112 (+810%) and MYO1D (+605%).

Through its multiple gene activations, the supplement stack was found to boost overall energy, mental performance and gut barrier health to help alleviate occasional bloating, constipation and other digestive issues.

The stack demonstrated its support of balance and coordination by promoting “rapid, clear communication” between the nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

Industry focus on longevity
