Kelker Pharma’s Nutrilinq Genesis tackles “Ozempic face” and other GLP-1 treatment side effects
Kelker Pharma has announced its upcoming launch of Nutrilinq Genesis, touted as the “first science-backed” nutritional support system for GLP-1 receptor agonist drug users. It was developed to help the majority of people experiencing adverse effects from rapid weight loss to improve their experience while using GLP-1 medications.
With the growing demand for GLP-1 drugs for weight loss, a high percentage of medication users are experiencing temporary and long-term side effects, including critical nutritional gaps, highlights the brand.
These nutritional gaps can cause gas, bloating, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, dehydration, sagging skin (commonly referred to as “Ozempic Face”), muscle loss, hair loss and lack of energy, among other things. If not supplemented with essential nutrition, these can lead to long-term adverse effects.

Kelker Pharma developed its Nutrilinq Genesis system to fill nutritional gaps from extreme caloric deprivation during GLP-1 treatments. Comprising three capsules and two concentrated powders daily, it can be used after completing GLP-1 treatment or once the weight loss goal is achieved for nutritional maintenance.

Supplement innovation is addressing adverse effects from rapid weight loss during GLP-1 medication.TriBsyn is designed to increase carnosine levels in the body by improving the absorption of beta-alanine, an amino acid precursor to carnosine. The formula is patent-pending and aims to reduce or eliminate the tingling sensation (paresthesia) often associated with beta-alanine supplementation.
Aside from the previously mentioned side effects, Nutrilinq Genesis addresses other common pain points associated with rapid weight loss. including a compromised immune system and brittle nails.
Supplementing around GLP-1 agonists
Product innovation around GLP-1 weight loss treatment has been ramping up, as evidenced by brand activity. Allurion, which recently launched an AI weight loss program and app to be used alongside GLP-1 therapy, highlights the expanding market opportunity for nutritional supplements complementing the popular weight loss drugs in the US, which is expected to exceed US$100 billion with 30 million total users by 2030.
Another factor driving up market activity is blanket policy reform. US President Joe Biden plans to lower costs and expand accessibility of weight-loss medications like GLP-1 drugs to obese patients without other medical conditions. While the proposal could cut costs by 95%, as current out-of-pocket costs can reach US$1,000 monthly, it is subject to approval by the incoming Trump administration.
ADM recently identified five unique needs for GLP-1 consumers, which it addresses with its ingredient solutions. “Three of them are when the consumer is actively on a GLP-1 drug, and two of them happen when the consumer comes off the drug,” Brad Schwan, VP of marketing at the company, told Nutrition Insight at SupplySide West 2024.
