Roelmi HPC launches ExceptionHYAL supplements for menopause, bone and eye care
23 Jan 2023 --- Roelmi Health and Personal Care (HPC) has expanded its ExceptionHYAL brand with Blossom and Wink, two ingredients designed to meet the need for moisturization in various body parts and catering to holistic women’s health.
ExceptionHYAL is dubbed a “full spectrum hyaluronans-based” line, at a time when hyaluronic acid continues to capture interest in the beauty community for its hydration properties.
Roelmi HPC’s full spectrum is described as the second generation of sodium hyaluronate, characterized by specific hyaluronic acid fingerprints (spectra) for targeted applications within the nutraceutical and cosmetic fields.
“Flourishing menopause”
ExceptionHYAL Blossom is designed to help encourage a “flourishing menopause,” as it is deemed a complementary approach to fighting discomforts experienced by women during this period.
“It induces an amelioration of vaginal dryness, itching, pain, urinary urgency and bone fragility typical for women in menopause, thus increasing the quality of life,” details Roelmi HPC.ExceptionHYAL Blossom increases the hydration of vaginal mucosa, alleviating itching, dyspareunia, vaginal atrophy and pain.
The company recommends taking 200 mg daily in capsules, tablets, soft gels, liquid vials or drinks as delivery formats.
ExceptionHYAL Blossom affects various parts of the body. It increases the hydration of vaginal mucosa, alleviating itching, dyspareunia, vaginal atrophy and pain. At the same time, the ingredient supports bone regeneration and helps fight osteoporosis.
The ingredient works by meeting the physiologic need for hyaluronic acid in the vaginal mucosa, increasing glycosaminoglycans, aquaporins and protein synthesis, thus promoting hydration, explains the company.
“It is also able to positively stimulate bone mineralization and push the expression of bone proliferation genes, favoring osteogenesis.”
“Comfort at first sight”
ExceptionHYAL Wink is branded as “comfort at first sight,” designed to promote the well-being of the eye and support visual performance.
Additionally, the ingredient improves eye moisturization and reduces the discomfort and pain caused by blue lights from screens.
The company recommends taking 200 mg of ExceptionHYAL Wink daily in capsules, tablets, soft gels, liquid vials or drinks as delivery formats.
Like ExceptionHYAL Blossom, Wink meets the physiological needs of hyaluronic acid for the eye mucosae by increasing glycosaminoglycans, aquaporins and protein synthesis, thus promoting corneal hydration.
It works by speeding up the micro wound healing processes of the eye and exerts an anti-inflammatory activity, adds the manufacturer.ExceptionHYAL Wink works by improving eye moisturization.
Rest of the line
Other ingredients in the ExceptionHYAL line feature nutricosmetics and health-related products.
ExceptionHYAL Star is a nutricosmetic created for skin health and aging and ExceptionHYAL Jump supports people’s active lifestyle by promoting “harmonic joint functionality.”
Lastly, the ExceptionHYAL Relief ingredient is designed to boost gastro-oesophageal and oral health by reducing the discomforts caused by gastric acid reflux.
These are the latest in a string of ingredient developments at Roelmi HPC. Last April, the company upcycled the by-products of Mediterranean olives used in food industries into a new cosmetic ingredient called Olifeel Glow. The product is hailed for reducing waste by transforming it into functional ingredients that may have otherwise been discarded.
The company previously debuted another circular innovation, Ener-GY plus, which it describes as “a cell energizer active ingredient designed to optimize mitochondrial activation” for improving skin elasticity. The ingredient is made from upcycled active solvents rich in fruit oligo-elements and enzymatic biotechnology.
