Elysium Health launches Creatine+ for longevity and muscle health
Key takeaways
- Elysium Health has launched Creatine+, a longevity-focused supplement combining creatine monohydrate, HMB, and pomegranate polyphenols standardized to urolithin A precursors.
- The formulation targets cognition, strength, and recovery, with a focus on age-related muscle decline, physical function, mitochondrial renewal, and long-term vitality.
- The launch reflects creatine’s shift from sports nutrition into healthy aging, as brands position muscle health as a key predictor of independence and quality of life.

Elysium Health has launched Creatine+, a three-in-one creatine system focusing on longevity. Its three pillars of focus are cognition, strength, and recovery, combining creatine monohydrate, HMB (β-hydroxy β-methylbutyrate), and pomegranate polyphenols standardized to urolithin A precursors.
According to the company, these ingredients target multiple biological pathways for long-term health and specifically age-related muscle decline, physical function, and cognitive health.
Elysium Health notes that creatine is one of the most studied and effective supplements for muscle performance, but is now also gaining attention for its important role in healthy aging, mobility, and longevity. It is gaining traction beyond athletes and fitness enthusiasts, now reaching everyday consumers.
It says that muscle mass, strength, and power decrease by 30%, 40%, and 50%, respectively, by age 80. Creatine+ was created to target this drop by using ingredients addressing the biological foundations of strength and longevity.
“Creatine has become one of my favorite supplements for supporting the maintenance of lean body mass, strength, and performance as we age, especially when paired with consistent resistance training,” says Dr. Michael Fredericson, co-director of the Stanford Center on Longevity and Elysium Scientific Advisory Board member.
He says Creatine+ optimizes for two critical components of athletic performance — output and recovery. “I highly recommend creatine for men and women, but women especially face distinct changes in muscle physiology, and Creatine+ offers targeted nutritional support for maintaining performance and vitality.”
Designed for longevity
Elysium Health further details the ingredient components that diversify this supplement from targeting athletic performance to longevity.
Micronized creatine monohydrate supports lean muscle mass, strength, and cognition, while HMB works together with creatine to build muscle, support recovery, and prevent muscle loss.
The company argues that prior studies have demonstrated that combining creatine with HMB produces more lean muscle mass. The pomegranate polyphenols standardized to urolithin A precursors support cellular energy production and mitochondrial renewal, according to the company.
It argues that prior studies have demonstrated that combining creatine with HMB produces more lean muscle mass compared to creatine alone.
Similarly, two previous scientific reviews demonstrated HMB as a proven, science-backed nutrient that supports muscle mass, strength, and physical function in older adults.
Other industry players, including Zhoun Nutrition, also recently launched a supplement combining creatine and HMB.
“Over the last several years, creatine has evolved from a supplement primarily associated with athletes and gym-goers into one of the most widely popular interventions for healthy aging,” says Eric Marcotulli, CEO at Elysium.
He says this shift reflects a growing recognition that muscle health is one of the most important predictors of long-term health, independence, and quality of life.
“At Elysium, we have always focused on translating advances in longevity science into products that help people not just age better but live better. Creatine+ is a natural extension of that mission — a scientifically rigorous formulation designed to support strength today, and to help preserve physical function, resilience, and cognition over the long term.”
