Al Arcelin, category manager of ingredients at Hilmar, showcases two new products the company launched at this year’s SupplySide West in Las Vegas, US and their applications in the growing sports nutrition market. Hilmar’s PROtelyze Extend, a hydrolyzed whey protein isolate, can be used to soften sports bars and extend shelf life, while the company’s clear whey protein isolate aims to support the formulation of new flavors in ready-to-drink mixes and contains a 90% protein level.
