Songwon Introduces New Products to Extend its Current Range of Antioxidants and UV Absorbers at K 2007
Following the introduction earlier this year of a series of new Antioxidant and UV Absorbers, the Songwon Group is pleased to announce a further expansion of its key product ranges tailored to specific industry needs.

Following the introduction earlier this year of a series of new Antioxidant and UV Absorbers, the Songwon Group is pleased to announce a further expansion of its key product ranges tailored to specific industry needs.
The new products will be presented at K 2007, stand C79, hall 6, and include:
- Songnox 2500 is a hydroquinone based antioxidant used in medical adhesives, elastomers, and as an anti-scorch in wire and cable applications. This product is unique in that it is not a phenol, and works under oxygen deficient conditions. A further application is as a color forming agent in chemical films.
- Songnox 4425 is a cresol based antioxidant and is highly effective in Polyamides, Polyesters, PVB safety glass laminate, High Impact Polystyrene, ABS, and a large range of spin finish compositions. This product, supplied in powder form, is a primary antioxidant for organic polymers offering the unique combination of being very low discoloring, low volatility and high solubility.
- Songnox 6180 is a phosphite antioxidant used in ABS as well as LDPE and LLDPE films, often in combination with Songnox 1680. This product provides outstanding color suppression.
- Songsorb 3600 is a UV absorber, and although suited to a wide range of polymers, is the product of choice for Polycarbonate, especially for extrusion coating. Songsorb 3600 uniquely combines high molecular weight, low volatility and high activity.

Songwon has made a major commitment to invest in expanding capacity and having a full product range. In addition to the new products Songwon has introduced this year, the company has also commissioned a new world class facility in Maeam, South Korea demonstrating Songwon’s commitment, consistency, and reliability as an industry partner.
