Salutivia to distribute Kemin’s health ingredients across the UK & Ireland

04 Nov 2021 --- Global ingredient manufacturer Kemin Human Health and Nutrition (Kemin) is partnering with Salutivia, a specialty ingredients provider, to supply Kemin’s portfolio of nutrition and health ingredients to the UK and Ireland. As part of this deal, Salutivia will be the exclusive distributor of Kemin’s ingredients and products.

The distribution and logistics partnership will provide the areas with Kemin’s portfolio, including products that support vision, cognition, immune health, sleep and weight management.

“The UK and Ireland combined make up the fourth-largest dietary supplement market in Europe. Therefore the growth potential is big in these areas,” Pedro Vieira, vice president at Kemin Human Nutrition and Health, tells NutritionInsight.

Kemin and Salutivia can deliver their combined benefits to customers and drive even “greater market penetration.”

Joining forces
Salutivia has unparalleled knowledge of the UK market, and the company’s extensive business development and sales capabilities help guarantee success of Kemin’s bioactives in the region,” explains Vieira.

Salutivia was previously appointed as the UK distributor for DSM Nutritional Products within the food, nutrition and supplement markets for customers served through the DSM distributor supply chain.Salutivia, part of the Lake group of companies, provides customers with specialty ingredients, technical expertise and NPD.

“Customers will benefit from the combined product, market insight and innovation capabilities of two key players in the nutrition market,” adds Dimitri Zacharias, business manager at Salutivia.

Distributing natural ingredients
Salutivia will distribute Kemin’s naturally sourced nootropic ingredient Neumentix developed from patented spearmint lines to support cognitive and physical performance.

“These products, due to their natural and quality characteristics, safety data and proven clinical effects, will satisfy consumer demand for naturally sourced, effective and sustainable ingredients,” adds Vieira.

Also included in the distribution is BetaVia Complete, a nutrient-rich whole algae, naturally high in beta-1, 3-glucans, for clinically supported immune health benefits.

Additionally, the DailyZz, a blend of botanicals rich in naturally occurring polyphenols that are clinically shown to benefit sleep quality and next-day functioning, will also be part of the portfolio.

NutritionInsight previously reported on the DailyZz ingredient. Kemin’s research found it may improve sleep quality and daytime functioning in healthy individuals with occasional sleep complaints.
