Robertet Launches Two Ingredients for Skin and Joint Health
18 Apr 2017 --- Robertet has launched two new natural solutions for the skincare and joint health markets: a beauty drink aimed at restoring skin hydration and decreasing wrinkles, and a melon juice concentrate powder aimed at decreasing pain and muscular tensions.
The Robertet Beauty Shot Concept contains Lipowheat, a natural ingredient concentrating phytoceramides and glycolipids. Lipowheat is supported by five clinical studies and has a proven efficacy in restoring healthy skin hydration, improving radiance and reducing wrinkles, the company said. With 75% of anti-aging skincare users interested in beverages that can improve the appearance of their skin, the Beauty Shot was developed to meet the demands of active women looking for a skincare solution that fits their on-the-go lifestyles.
In developing the concept, Robertet leveraged the expertise of its Flavors team and its unique SMArt process to create the Beauty Shot’s natural flavor. The SMArt process, which stands for “Sensory Modified Art” essentially translates an emotion, an atmosphere, an image into a natural taste. The new Beauty Shot is complemented by a natural SMArt Beauty flavor to reinforce Lipowheat’s hydrating and beautifying properties and to give a delicious taste without adding any sugar.
Meanwhile, Natural SuperOxide Dismutase by Bionov (SOD B) is a new way to improve joint health. This natural melon juice concentrate powder is a source of natural and protected Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), with clinical and preclinical studies proving its ability to improve joint health, the company said.
In a preclinical study published in 2017, SOD B gives evidence of its potential on joint health. Assessed on 16 horses (two groups: one supplemented with SOD B and one without) during 23 days and subjected to intense physical training, SOD B showed an increase of more than 37% in cartilage integrity and a 55% reduction in inflammation.
