Webinar preview: Monteloeder spotlights the next frontier of nutricosmetics
Key takeaways
- Monteloeder’s dual-ingredient approach targets scalp homeostasis and skin structural integrity through clinically validated botanical interventions.
- Low dosages of 100–250 mg give brands broad formulation flexibility across capsules, gummies, shots, and jellies.
- Nutricosmetics’ next frontier lies in linking biological mechanisms directly to measurable, consumer-perceived visible results.

The beauty-from-within sector is undergoing a rigorous scientific upgrade. No longer satisfied with vague promises of “radiance,” B2B formulators and brand owners are pivoting toward structural integrity — treating the scalp and skin as dynamic, living scaffolds rather than mere canvases.
Ahead of its upcoming webinar, “Where structure drives beauty: From scalp health to skin radiance,” (April 7, 2026, at 15:00 PM CEST), Nutrition Insight sits down with Danay Cubero, the commercial director for branded ingredients, EMEA, at Monteloeder by SuanNutra, to discuss how targeted botanical interventions can reinforce these biological foundations.
According to the company, the session marks a strategic shift in the nutricosmetic narrative, moving away from surface-level esthetics toward “structural glow” — a concept rooted in the maintenance of collagen, elastin, and follicular vitality.

At the heart of the discussion are two innovative ingredients: Elissara, an ingredient for scalp environment optimization that was formerly marketed as Zeropollution, and Nutroxsun365, designed to defend the skin’s essential architecture.
Ahead of the event, we caught up with the speakers to discuss why the future of the category lies in biology-driven resilience and how these innovations are helping brands meet the demands of an increasingly evidence-hungry consumer base.
“The key is to strike the right balance between scientific credibility and clear, consumer-relevant messaging,” says Cubero. “Ultimately, our role is to help brands move away from generic ‘beauty’ messaging and toward evidence-backed storytelling, where clinical data, consumer perception, and compliance all work together to build trust.”
Bringing proven benefits
According to Cubero, Elissara takes a scalp-first approach to hair health. Supporting the body’s antioxidant defenses, it helps maintain scalp homeostasis. This counters the effects of daily environmental stressors such as pollution on hydration, barrier function, and sebum balance. Over time, this creates more favorable conditions for the hair follicle, translating into visible improvements in hair appearance.
Meanwhile, Nutroxsun365 targets skin from within. It helps to preserve collagen and elastin structure by supporting the skin’s internal balance against oxidative and inflammatory stress.
“Its botanical polyphenols help modulate the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) — enzymes involved in the natural degradation of collagen and elastin — by supporting a balanced cellular response to these stressors,” Cubero explains. “When this balance is preserved, the breakdown of key structural proteins can be better controlled.”
“By helping to regulate these underlying mechanisms, Nutroxsun365 contributes to maintaining skin elasticity and firmness, supporting overall skin resilience and a healthier-looking appearance over time.”
Elissara has been shown to help consumers maintain healthy hair by supporting the scalp.
Cubero details that clinical data show the two ingredients present a complementary dual timeline when used together. Nutroxsun365 delivers fast-acting support for skin appearance from as early as 48 hours. Elissara drives scalp rebalancing for one month, followed by visible hair benefits.
Format and formulation flexibility
Montoloeder notes that, in addition to proven efficacy, both ingredients offer strong formulation flexibility. This is due to the low effective daily dosage amounts for each ingredient — 100 mg for Nutroxsun365 and 250 mg for Elissara. The low dosage rates allow customers to integrate the ingredients across a wide range of delivery formats.
Cubero highlights that, though capsules and tablets remain the dominant choice in European markets, regional preferences beyond Europe are driving format innovation. Asian markets are showing strong uptake of shots and jelly products, reflecting a broader shift toward more experiential and convenient delivery systems.
She says this is reshaping how beauty-from-within products are positioned globally.
“Formats like gummies are becoming increasingly popular globally, offering a more consumer-friendly approach while still maintaining formulation flexibility thanks to the low inclusion levels,” she reveals.
“From a technical perspective, both ingredients show good compatibility, making them suitable for a variety of matrices. Their botanical origin and relatively low dose simplify formulation, enabling brands to develop differentiated products across both traditional and emerging formats.”
Navigating global regulations
Cubero spotlights that, in Europe, clinical outcomes for both ingredients support country-level beauty claims around visible attributes such as wrinkle appearance and skin firmness, while in the US, the same data translate into structure or function claims that meet the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 requirements.
US-market language for both ingredients typically focuses on supporting skin elasticity, maintaining skin quality, or contributing to a balanced scalp environment — framing that communicates functional benefit while avoiding any disease-related positioning under federal regulatory guidelines.
Nutroxsun365 protects the skin from oxidative and inflammatory stress.
“Overall, the strength of the clinical data provides a solid foundation for both approaches, allowing brands to adapt the communication strategy to each regulatory environment while maintaining scientific consistency,” says Cubero. “We support our partners by building communication around clinically substantiated, visible outcomes rather than abstract claims.”
“This makes the benefit more tangible and easier for consumers to understand and trust. Importantly, our clinical approach always combines instrumental measurements with consumer-reported outcomes. This allows us to capture not only statistically significant changes, but also how those benefits are perceived by users in real life, which is critical when communicating visible results.”
Furthermore, Cubero emphasizes that Monteloeder adapts messaging to each market’s regulatory framework. The company helps brands translate clinical data into structure and function claims for the US and appearance-based communication for Europe.
Moreover, she also identifies timeline transparency as a priority. Since consumers expect realistic outcomes, clearly communicating when benefits may be perceived — whether early changes or more gradual improvements — is essential to building long-term brand credibility.
The biological markers of beauty
Monteloeder sees the next frontier in nutricosmetics as linking biological mechanisms directly to visible results. This moves beyond traditional endpoints to target key pathways — including oxidative stress, inflammation, and MMP activity.
The company states that these biomarkers are directly implicated in collagen degradation and skin aging.
“At the same time, more advanced biomarkers and tools — such as skin imaging and trans epidermal water loss — are helping to better connect mechanism, measurement, and visible outcomes,” Cubero concludes. “Ultimately, innovation will be defined by ingredients that can clearly demonstrate this full link from biology to perception.”
