Momentous launches triple-action fermentable fiber supplement for gut health
Key takeaways
- Momentous launches Fiber+, a triple-action fermentable fiber supplement targeting gut, metabolic, and recovery support.
- The formula centers on SCFA production and butyrate, linking fiber to gut integrity and gut-brain health.
- The launch taps into gaps in fiber intake and the rising demand for functional, performance-focused nutrition.
Momentous has launched Fiber+, a triple-action fiber supplement designed to go beyond digestion and to support gut health, metabolic balance, and a whole-body recovery.
The company says it leverages the latest science on fermentable fibers, resistant starch, and the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs).
Momentous claims it is the first fiber supplement that contains psyllium husk, rice bran, potato starch, and real cinnamon bark. It offers 6 g of fiber per serving.
The soluble fiber psyllium husk supports blood sugar control, satiety, and cholesterol levels. The insoluble fiber — rice bran — supports digestive regulation and comfort.
Potato starch is a resistant starch that produces SCFA such as butyrate, supporting gut barrier integrity, inflammation balance, and metabolic health. Lastly, the supplement uses cinnamon bark for flavoring to avoid any artificial flavors, sweeteners, or masking agents.

“At Momentous, we prioritize the essentials that drive the greatest impact on how people feel and perform, and fiber is one of the most overlooked opportunities in nutrition, with nearly all Americans falling short,” comments Jeff Byers, co-founder and CEO of Momentous.
“Gut health influences everything from energy and recovery to long-term resilience, but the category hasn’t kept pace with the science. Fiber+ reflects our commitment to delivering foundational nutrition at the highest standard, because sustainable, lifelong performance starts with getting the basics right.”
Momentous says the younger generation is increasingly recognizing the gut as a command center for holistic health.Fiber in the spotlight
Fiber has been forecasted as a main nutrition trend this year. Social media is bringing gut health to the forefront, with the “fibermaxxing” trend shaping younger consumers’ approach to food.
Momentous says the younger generation is increasingly recognizing the gut as a command center for holistic health. However, fiber intake has remained stagnant; 95% of US citizens do not consume adequate fiber, while 67% believe they do.
The company urges consumers to turn to fiber, especially amid the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans that further prioritize protein intake. “Thoughtful fiber supplementation is more essential than ever to maintain balanced nutrition and support overall health,” argues Momentous.
Fiber+ was formulated with expert input and aims to address emerging research on the gut-brain connection, the gut-muscle axis, and the microbiome’s role in metabolic health.
Meanwhile, a recent study found that the emotional memory region of the brain, the amygdala, is sensitive to processed foods. This was attributed to the diet’s lack of fiber. It found that consuming inadequate fiber leads to a decline in gut-derived butyrate metabolites and may cause brain inflammation.
