Amid the US National Breastfeeding Month, Momcozy has launched a 24/7 lactation line to support mothers, connecting them directly with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) between August 1 and 14, free of charge.
The maternal innovation femtech brand says the support line ensures mothers have direct access to certified lactation consultants for challenges and questions.
The certified specialists can provide personalized guidance for families’ needs, which the company highlights as essential during a time when many parents turn to online searches and digital tools for answers.
“Every breastfeeding journey is different, but one thing remains consistent: mothers deserve timely, compassionate support from someone who will truly listen,” says Melissa Kotlen, registered nurse, IBCLC, and clinical manager at Momcozy.
“The Lactation Line connects women directly with certified lactation consultants who can provide personalized, evidence-based guidance exactly when it’s needed most. Sometimes mothers don’t need another article or another search result — they simply need someone they can trust to help them navigate the moment they’re in.”
From latch to supply
The lactation line offers support on every aspect of breastfeeding, such as latch challenges, milk supply concerns, combination feeding of breastmilk and formula, returning to work, weaning, and more.
The lactation line offers support on every aspect of breastfeeding, including latch challenges and milk supply concerns.“Breastfeeding is one of the most vulnerable times in a woman’s life. There is so much information available, and it can be challenging to know what guidance is right for you,” says Heidi Postier, registered nurse, one of the IBCLCs supporting Momcozy’s Lactation Line.
“Through Momcozy’s Lactation Line, I’m able to provide real-time support to new mothers and hopefully make motherhood a little bit easier.”
The line consists of 11 experts from the IBCLC with backgrounds in nutrition, public health, nursing, postpartum care, health education, and maternal-infant care.
Momcozy notes that its commitment to support mothers stretches beyond the National Breastfeeding Month with its tech products for comfortable breastfeeding and accessories to ease the cleaning process.
This week, Nutrition Insight explored some of the latest research on breastfeeding benefits. A review breaks down stigmatized myths in the medical sector, while other research papers reveal how the nutrition source makes infants’ gut bacteria resilient into adulthood, may prevent Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder symptoms, and could improve sleep.
