Mediterranean magic: Robertet’s Menobelle offers natural relief for menopause
28 Sep 2023 --- In the lead-up to World Menopause Day, Robertet unveils Menobelle, an innovative solution aimed at improving women’s well-being during menopause. According to the company, the natural ingredient is meticulously crafted to address the unique physical and emotional challenges that women encounter during this significant stage in their lives.
Menopause is a natural and inevitable phase for women with a range of physical and emotional changes. As the global population ages, with an estimated 9.7 billion people expected by 2050, the number of women experiencing menopause is set to increase.
This trend has spurred the market to seek innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of women. Innova Market Insights data suggests that the market for supplements and sports nutrition products for women’s health has been growing since 2017.
A natural alternative
Robertet states that Menobelle approaches women’s health during menopause by offering relief from the physical and emotional changes associated with this life stage. Moreover, it is hormone-free and composed of a blend of synergistic Mediterranean plants.
Melissa officinalis (lemon balm) is one of the key components of Menobelle. The ingredient, sourced and extracted from fresh leaves, has been proven to enhance various aspects of women’s health and to have positive impacts on sleep, mood, cognitive function, digestion and reduces bloating.Robertet says the new offering is made wholly from upcycled ingredients.
Citrus bergamia (bergamot), another of the offering’s essential ingredients, specifically targets cardio-metabolic disorders, providing comprehensive support for women during menopause. The third plant, Paeonia lactiflora (peony), has analgesic and antispasmodic properties, effectively combating the discomfort often associated with menopause.
Science-backed and sustainable
Robertet reveals that Menobelle is not only natural in its composition but is also sustainable, with the entire offering being made from upcycled ingredients. Moreover, the company says the clinical studies have been conducted on 153 perimenopausal women – aged 45 to 55 – and has demonstrated effectiveness for menopausal symptom relief.
Most participants said they experienced significant relief from menopausal symptoms after consuming two capsules of Menobelle twice a day for two months. These improvements included reduced hot flashes, night sweats, irritability and other menopausal discomforts.
The beige to yellow powder is insoluble in water, making it suitable to incorporate into food supplements or functional foods. The company highlights that the recommended daily dosage of Menobelle is 475 mg and that the ingredient is suitable for vegans.
