Goli Nutrition to roll out vending machines for apple cider vinegar gummies
04 Dec 2020 --- Goli Nutrition has entered a five-year contract with French technology service provider Atos to power a new vending retail experience for its apple cider vinegar gummies.
Atos’ Internet of Things (IoT) solution will help build, run and secure business services and data platforms for Goli’s 20,000 cashless and contactless vending machines in various retail locations like airports and shopping malls.
The micro-retail consumer experience leverages edge computing, IoT-connected vending machines and AI vision.
Rollout anticipated next year
The first rollout of 5,000 vending machines will take place across the US and Canada this month, followed by a second worldwide phase in 2021. It is expected to provide Goli with valuable supply chain insight, operational and product efficiencies and increased consumer engagement.
The solution establishes secure network connections to a cloud-based IoT platform. This elevates digital engagement through mobile apps with customized offers, modern payment services and digital wallets, and near-me promotions.
Functionalities of apple cider vinegar gummies
Initially, drinking apple cider vinegar was solely focused on the health aspect rather than taste flavor properties. In recent years, new formulations of the detox substance, including gummies, have emerged.
Studies have shown that apple cider vinegar, in conjunction with a well-balanced diet, supports healthy weight management.
Enzymes found in Goli’s apple cider vinegar gummies, as well its pectin fiber, are highlighted to help support the growth of good gut bacteria important for digestion.
In addition, apple cider vinegar encourages healthy gut bacteria growth. Gut microbes then help support a healthy immune system.
Apple cider vinegar also promotes a healthy cardiovascular system by maintaining good cholesterol levels.
On-the-go nutrition accelerates
“We aim to meet the consumer where they are best served with consistent, high-quality health and wellness options in stores and on-the-go locations,” says Michael Bitensky, co-founder of Goli.
“In our growing partnership, Atos has empowered our manufacturing process with cutting-edge technology. Going forward they will serve as our key digital partner in this new retail experience with digital services that harness the value of IoT data at the center of our business.”
Last month, sports nutrition company Bio-Synergy launched a protein shake vending machine at a Manchester branch of pharmacy chain Boots. Customers can choose from six different flavors and fill their shake in a 50 percent rPET, fully recyclable cup or refill their own cup.
