Cosmax NBT unveils Tabetri for active consumers’ cartilage and muscle health
04 Apr 2022 --- South Korea-based Cosmax NBT is spotlighting its Tabetri product for muscle and joint health to meet rising demand driven by the MZ generation – Millennials and Generation Z.
Tabetri is available as a primary ingredient in tablets and soft or hard capsules. Furthermore, the dosage formats contain vitamins C, D, and magnesium. Consumers can take 600 mg each day to help with pain and cartilage degeneration.
According to Cosmax, excessive exercise, inappropriate posture and malnutrition are contributing to the increase in joint diseases. As a result, muscle and joint health claims are becoming more common in dietary supplements and sports nutrition categories.
Echoing this rise, Innova Market Insights compares 2021 and 2020 product releases finding that the use of bone health claims in supplements and sports nutrition launches increased globally, with a +18% year-over-year increase.
The Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has approved joint and cartilage health claims made by the Cosmax group. Cosmax NBT also completed patent registrations in the US, Australia and South Korea for the Tabetri ingredient.
The functional and “natural” ingredient
The company adds that the Taheebo tree’s bark is used to make the 100% plant-based product.
Shedding light on the natural ingredient category, Innova Market Insights data unveils that natural ingredients are still most closely connected with “clean” eating, with claims of natural ingredients increasing within the sports nutrition categories.
Tabetri is also a functional ingredient with a patented manufacturing method that maximizes its anti-inflammatory effect. It has improved joint and cartilage health by lowering pain associated with osteoarthritis and preventing cartilage degeneration.Cosmax NBT has developed a 100% plant-based ingredient for the active consumer’s joint and cartilage health.
Cosmax NBT emphasizes that more people are looking for supplements to help them live a more active lifestyle regardless of age. In other words, the more active they are, the more nutrients they should consume for their muscles and joints.
Investigating Tabetri’s health claims
Clinical studies have revealed that Tabetri, made using a patented manufacturing technology, may significantly improve biomarkers related to joint and cartilage health.
Tabetri has been demonstrated to promote joint health in adult men and women who suffer from knee pain. It was especially effective in treating pain and stiffness.
The tree bark extract may be more effective in reducing pain and cartilage degeneration than green lipped mussel extract oil and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) treatments.
Leaf supplement and herbal medicine
The Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is expected to approved weight-loss claims made by Korea-based cosmeceutical and dietary supplement company Cosmax Group for its Hydrangea Serrata leaf supplement.
Cosmax also unveiled Chrytri, a product that can help with muscle health. Chrytri is manufactured from Chrysanthemum morifolium, a traditional Korean and Chinese herbal medicine.
