Metabolic syndrome as main target area

At Nutraceuticals Europe 2019 in Madrid, Spain, NutritionInsight spoke with Fernando Heredia, Country Manager at Faravelli. The company presented at the show its dietary fiber ingredients which target people who suffer from metabolic syndrome. The ingredients' functionalities include reducing pressure systolic and diastolic, lowering cholesterol and increasing HDL (High-density lipoprotein) presence, Heredia says. "They are suitable either for nutritional supplements or as an ingredient for functional foods such as snacks, baked goods or confectionery," he adds.
