Laurentia Bliss, director of brand at ThreoTech, highlighted a growing consumer demand for brain health solutions, such as magnesium. She pointed to clinical studies finding significant results in memory, concentration, and productivity for the company’s Magtein magnesium L-threonate. Bliss also presented new clinical research on a younger demographic (18–45 years), with similar results.
This is Yolanda van H Nutrition Insights.
I'm here with Florencio Mis from Magzine Frita.
Thank you for joining us today.
Thank you.
Nice to see you.
I'm so good.
I'm, I'm, I'd love to talk more about magnesium and maxtine and everything that it does, but first, I know there's, there's such a growing consumer interest in cognitive health, and I'd love to hear how you see magtine shaping the future of magnesium supplements in this phase.
Yeah, absolutely, magtine is a really, is really our flagship ingredient at 3A Tech.
We've spent over 10 years developing clinical studies showing why magtine is the right magnesium to support brain health and overall health.
The brain really impacts a lot of different body systems and helping with things like sleep and productivity and focus and memory as.
So being able to support your brain.
By providing the magnesium to where it needs to be and supporting that structure and function of the brain, we've seen is really, really beneficial and something that consumers are looking for as they're busier and doing more things and having to have their focus really divided.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, OK, and there's also, that's something that we hear a lot, there's the interest in scientifically supported ingredients.
Consumers want proof of all the things that they're taking.
So I'm curious, how do you leverage the extensive clinical data that you've gathered on Matti to position that for concrete function?
Yeah, absolutely.
We love helping and working with brands to help them really, design their products that can speak to the clinical results of Magteen.
So we have a lot of great innovation.
We work with brands that are doing all different types of products for longevity, for memory, for young, old people, different delivery systems, and so, you know, we're really helping and working with our partners.
To help them develop products that can communicate all of our science, we know it's a lot of science, but we really wanna help them be the most successful that they can.
And so really working with our customers on a partnership is something that we're really strong with and we really see provides the most success for our brands that use Maginee.
Awesome, interesting.
And can you highlight maybe some market trends that are driving demands for magnesium L3 units and how.
You're capitalizing on those trends with Macine.
Sure, what we're really seeing is people want to support their health throughout the lifespan, and our most recent clinical trial focused on a little bit younger of a population that may be what you would think about from memory.
So our trial focused on people 18 to 45, and so these are young people that are still in the workforce, they're going to university, and so being able to support all of those functions.
Before you even start thinking about memory and aging was really important for us.
And so we're seeing a younger demographic that really wants to help improve and have brain health throughout their life, and that's what we call cognitive vitality.
And so really being able to test that and showing that Magteen works for all age groups was really important for us and exciting because we saw such positive results from our trials.
With all the different magnesium forks that are on the market, are there any challenges that you face in differentiating hacking?
And if so, how do you overcome them?
Sure, so fortunately we have a lot of data and science that can support the differentiation of magtine with other magnesiums.
It was shown in our clinical trials to be one of the only magnesiums that can effectively cross the blood-brain barrier to give significant results that you can feel in memory, concentration, and productivity, but really the mechanism of action of magnesium from.
Mag team being actively transported through the blood-brain barrier is really that differentiation that we can see and the customers can feel it as.
They feel more sharp, more clarity and focus, and being able to show that both with testimonial data and clinicals to back it up has really been important for us and really helps our sales position.
OK, final question, I'm always curious.
To look ahead into the future a little bit, do you see any other opportunities for innovation in magnesium supplementation?
And also, how are you positioning magtine to meet future consumer demands?
Yes, absolutely.
So for the future for magtine, we're looking at both new studies in areas like continuing with the cognitive vitality.
We also have new data on heart rate variability, which is a really important factor.
And something for longevity and especially for sport.
So being able to look at some other health areas for Magteen has been important for us.
And then continuing our delivery system innovations for Magteen, seeing more customers doing on the go formats, not just capsules and tablets, has been a focus for us that we're really excited, to move forward.
Awesome, look forward to that.
Thank you so much.
Of course, thank you.
