Antioxidant-rich watercress holds potential for sports nutrition NPD
03 Feb 2020 | The Watercress Company
At Food Matters Live 2019 in London, UK, The Watercress Company was highlighting the nutritious nature of watercress. Key to its health halo is the high level of antioxidants – which can prevent cell damage – and iron. Real foods are increasingly gaining traction in the sports nutrition space, as consumers lose interest in processed gels and supplements, they add. Watercress could be used to boost sports drinks and further NPD.
