The H.I.T.S. Team is comprised of chemists and application personnel who have sound understanding of functional ingredients and applications and was created to research and promote health ingredients.
11 Sep 2009 --- WILD now has several new, fresh ingredients joining the H.I.T.S. (Health Ingredient Technology & Solutions) platforms: Lingonberry, CLA Microemulsion andVitamin D3 & K2 Microemulsion.
Lingonberry fits in the WILD H.I.T.S. Inside Beauty& Antioxidant platforms. It is a powerful natural antioxidant that scavenges the effects of free radicals. Through clinical studies, Lingonberry has been shown to improve skin smoothness, help the skin retain moisture, as well as decrease wrinkles, skin spots and sensitivity.
Through WILD’s vast knowledge and technical expertise, now two new microemulsions are available for previously non-water-soluble ingredients. Through an agreement with Cognis Nutrition & Health, WILD can offer CLA, an ingredient which may aid in weight loss and maintenance of healthy weight by reducing overall body fat and content. Both Vitamins D3 and K2 are shown to help with joint and bones; D3 is essential for calcium absorption while K2 has been shown to increase bone density & reduce the risk of fractures. Using WILD’s vast knowledge and technical expertise, both the CLA and Vitamin D3 & K2 are now avaliable in clear, water-soluble microemulsions.
Consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious, and WILD recognizes the importance of and the demand for healthy ingredients. The H.I.T.S. Team is comprised of chemists and application personnel who have sound understanding of functional ingredients and applications and was created to research and promote health ingredients. Many of WILD's H.I.T.S. ingredients have "measurable health" benefits (meaning that the positive effects are clinically proven). The H.I.T.S. Team continues to investigate the stability of functional ingredients in areas such as light stability, shelf life, and packaging. The solubility of many functional ingredients has previously limited their use within various foods and beverages, but WILD has created water-soluble versions for easier application and development.
WILD's water-soluble ingredients include: steryl esters, lutein and lycopene, and co-enzyme Q-10. Also included in WILD's new line of health ingredients are grape seed extract, theaflavins, omega-3 fatty acids, tea polyphenols and chlorogenic acid; all of which provide strong antioxidative effects. WILD's proprietary, patented blend of ingredients-MaxImmune is clinically proven to boost immunity. Customers utilizing MaxImmune while developing a finished product have the ability to emphasize health benefits to consumers with clinically proven results.
