6 Feb 2013 --- The second edition of Vitafoods South America is preparing to build on the success of last year’s debut with an event set to be double the size for 2013.
The show, which takes place 26-27 March at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil, is the only dedicated nutraceutical event in South America, uniquely enabling leading suppliers of ingredients and raw materials to meet with food manufacturers and distributors to seize opportunities and learn about the latest insights and developments in the world’s fastest-growing nutraceuticals market.
The exhibition will feature around 125 leading global nutraceutical ingredients companies, including Copalis, Croda and Fortitech, as well as a raft of first-time exhibitors hailing from countries from around the world, such as Bionov, Kemin, Plantex, Rousselot and Tovani.
The 2013 show includes an exhibition, packed with exciting features, while an in-depth conference will run alongside this.
The New Products Zone will once again feature, acting as a guide and route planner to enable visitors to find their way around the show and seek out the latest innovations to hit the market.
A brand new Seminar Theatre will give exhibitors the chance to present their latest findings, products and discoveries to a captive audience of potential clients. As part of this, the regulatory advisory firm EAS will run an exclusive workshop to educate attendees on regional and global health claim and regulatory frameworks that will impact new product launches in South America.
EAS experts will also be on hand to offer visitors free one-to-one advice tailored to their requirements, across a range of subjects including product formulas, labelling and claims.
Also new this year is the Finished Products Zone, which will act as a dedicated area for dietary and supplement companies and will house a new Tasting Bar where visitors can test and taste some of the latest products to hit the market.
The conference, which features both marketing and scientific streams, will include speakers from some of the world’s largest companies, including Unilever and Nestlé, and will explore the region’s legislation, marketing strategies and market dynamics.
Other presentations will include Unilever R&D specialist Gisele Bannwart and Gisele Vidal, Consumer and Technical Insight at Unilever, explaining how manufacturers can create claims that drive sales; while Nestlé Regulatory Affairs Manager Marcos Pupin will examine how to meet the challenges involved in co-operating with R&D, marketing and regulatory affairs departments.
“We’re excited to expand on last year’s debut with an event entirely unique to South America that will provide insights into the latest trends and developments in the world’s fastest growing nutraceuticals market. We’ve included a number of new features for 2013 that will enable attendees to find out all about the most recent product launches, latest scientific research and regulatory updates,” says Chris Lee, Vitafoods Portfolio Director.
