TSI’s pre-workout supplement Peak ATP passes systematic review
19 Apr 2024 --- A highly anticipated systematic review and meta-analysis has been conducted on the anaerobic power of TSI’s pre-workout supplement ingredient Peak ATP. The maximum strength and repetition capabilities of healthy subjects with resistance training were analyzed.
The ingredient, a peak form of adenosine 5’-Triphosphate (ATP) disodium, is a highly bioavailable source of energy that boosts muscle power output and improves blood flow, delivering quality performance results.
“This meta-analysis comes at a time when there is a resurgence of interest in Peak ATP, as more brands around the world are looking to provide their customers with the best pre-workout ingredient for real energy and results. Numerous studies confirm its immediate benefits for athletes, weekend warriors and everyday exercisers,” says Shawn Baier, vice president, business development, products division, TSI.
Review of clinical studies
The analysts honed in on five studies from 2000 to 2022 and concluded that oral ATP supplementation helps users achieve significantly greater gains in maximal strength safely compared with the placebo. The results were published in Sports.
Peak ATP was assessed in four of the selected studies, all double-blind, randomized controlled trials with a high methodological quality. The review observed that daily intakes of 400 mg of ATP for up to 12 weeks are safe in healthy subjects.
“As more consumers seek non-stimulant energy alternatives for attaining higher peak performance, science affirms they may achieve significant benefits by using Peak ATP in combination with exercise,” Baier says.
Peak ATP is a clinically validated and patented version of ATP Disodium that is identical in structure to ATP produced and used by the human body.

Earlier this year, US-based food science company Glanbia Nutritionals introduced OptiATP, a new optimized form of ATP that is stable in low pH/high acid and high heat ready-to-drink beverage processing environments. The company says the ready-to-drink (RTD) solution, initially launched on the North American market, is ideal for energy and sports beverages.
In addition, Bioenergy highlights the potential of its ribose ingredient in supporting metabolic health by helping the body maintain healthy levels of ATP. The nucleic acid plays a central role in healthy cell functioning. Aging, diseases and diets containing fructose — a commonly used food ingredient — may lower ATP levels.
Meanwhile, a new clinical study by researchers from the University of Central Florida demonstrated improved mental clarity, focus and reaction times post-exercise of TSI PeakATP. The findings were published in Frontiers in Nutrition.
