SupplySide West 2024: dsm-firmenich to present health, nutrition and care solutions
At the upcoming SupplySide West 2024 trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, US, dsm-firmenich will showcase its product concepts and solutions for health from the gut, healthy longevity and maternal health. Visitors are invited to visit the company at booth #4465.

Gut health solutions
The company’s new Humiome B2, part of its “health from the gut” platform, will be showcased in the new product spotlight section of the trade show.
This B2 supplement stands out from similar products on the market with its biotic” vitamin uses patented Microbiome Targeted Technology to ensure that 90% of its vitamin B2 content will reach the colon and have a positive impact on the gut microbiome while providing prebiotic-like benefits for gut health, immunity and well-being.
At its own booth, dsm-firmenich will also show its additional gut health solution: Humiome Post LB. This is a postbiotic solution composed of a combination of two proprietary bacterial strains together with their fermented culture medium and active metabolites.
The company asserts that Humiome Post LB is based on over a century of investigation and is backed by 40-plus scientific studies.
Sustainable omega-3
The R&D giant will also showcase its expanded life’sOmega and life’sDHA plant-based omega-3 portfolio. This range includes products with omega-3 derived from algae — a sustainable alternative to fish oil.
The new additions to the portfolio include life’sOmega O1030DS, life’sOmega Ultra and life’sOmega O3020DS.
The company will also feature a new high potency DHA, life’sDHA B54-O100, which it touts as “the most potent and cost-effective algal DHA oil” promising an improved sensory performance for convenient formats such as gummies, chewables and “candyceuticals.”
Also, according to dsm-firmenich, life’sOmega is the first and only commercially available plant-based omega-3 to deliver the benefits of EPA and DHA fatty acids in a single, quality source.
With its algal-based life’sDHA and life’sOmega lipids, dsm-firmenich targets maternal brand owners. The company states that the products part of this range offer a variety of high-potency DHA levels that provide essential support for early life development and for a healthy pregnancy.
The company points to “an extensive body of evidence” showing how omega-3 supplementation during pregnancy can reduce the risk of preterm and early preterm birth.
Premix solutions
Lastly, dsm-firmenich will also showcase its premix capabilities, which are designed to deliver customized nutrition solutions and streamline product development.
The end-to-end partner offers premix solutions with “consumer-inspired concepts,” solid formulation expertise, broad fortification capabilities across multiple market segments and more.
The company promises to assist brands in creating “stand-out” products that meet consumers’ health ambitions.
On the show floor, the company will demonstrate several of its concepts, featuring its premix solutions and masking and taste expertise in convenient “good for me” formats. All visitors are invited to taste the products on exhibit.
