Stratum Nutrition Expands European Team
Stratum Nutrition’s World Area Manager for Europe and Asia, Michael Faber, announced that Karsten Brandt, Ph.D. as Nutritional Science Manager and Celine Cousin for Customer Service and Marketing Coordinator has been hired.
6/14/2011 --- Stratum Nutrition has expanded its team in Europe to help increase awareness of its functional and specialty ingredients among manufacturers and marketers of foods, beverages and dietary supplements. To support this growth, Stratum Nutrition’s World Area Manager for Europe and Asia, Michael Faber, announced that Karsten Brandt, Ph.D. as Nutritional Science Manager and Celine Cousin for Customer Service and Marketing Coordinator has been hired.
Karsten Brandt will serve as a scientific and regulatory source for current and potential clients, and will act as a company spokesperson at relevant symposiums and events. Brandt holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Animal Sciences in Zurich, Switzerland, as well as a M.Sc. in Physiology and Animal Nutrition from Universities Halle-Wittenberg & Kiel in Germany. He has written numerous peer-reviewed articles and abstracts, and has presented at prestigious international conferences for the past 10 years on various topics related to nutrition and health claims substantiation.
According to Faber, Cousin will assist in expanding knowledge of Stratum Nutrition and the company’s ingredient offerings within the European marketplace. Cousin most recently worked as a Marketing Assistant and Customer Service representative with IQF in Spain, which Stratum Nutrition and its parent company Novus International acquired in July 2010. There she was responsible for assisting in promotions for carotenoids – both food and feed additives divisions -in European and Asian markets. Cousin has extensive experience in sales, marketing and product management, in addition to strong knowledge of nutritional ingredients.
