Sialyllactose and lactoperoxidase could inhibit HIV

Snow Brand Milk Products confirms that sialyllactose and lactoperoxidase each have a property to inhibit the infection of HIV-1 virus.
01/07/05 Japan, Snow Brand Milk Products conducted a research with Nagasaki University, and has confirmed that sialyllactose and lactoperoxidase each have a property to inhibit the infection of HIV-1 virus.
Sialyllactose is a kind of oligossaccharide found in breast milk and cow milk. Lactoperoxidase is a protein derived from cow milk.
Details of the research will be presented at the Seventh International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific to be held in Kobe from July 1 to 5, under the title of "Suppression of HIV-1 infection by breast milk constituents, lactoperoxidase or sialyllactose."
