Retail Expansion for Probiotic Nut Butter
08 Sep 2016 --- Yumbutter, the first nut butter company to feature GanedenBC30 probiotics in its products, is adding additional retail locations to its nationwide reach. The probiotic products will be launching in Northern California and the Rocky Mountain region after being available in other US regions since last March.
Yumbutter attribute the further retail expansion to the increase in popularity in probiotic products, explaining that they are ‘becoming more of a staple for health-conscious consumers.’
The company claims that its probiotic spread helps with not only digestive health, but also the absorption of protein, which they claim make GanedenBC30 the perfect addition to Yumbutter’s Plant Protein and Probiotic Almond Butter combination, which has 10g of protein per serving.
A recent independent study showed that GanedenBC30 enhances utilization of vitamins and minerals, including Calcium, Iron, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B5 and Vitamin B12, as well as protein.
Yumbutter specifically chose GanedenBC30 probiotics for its allergen-free, non-GMO, and extremely shelf stable properties. Yumbutter’s potions have a shelf life of a year, and were made to be the ultimate travel companion, so finding a probiotic that would be able to stay alive until reaching the gut of the customer was of the utmost importance to the company.

“Our goal was to bring awareness to the importance of gut health, while also making it easier and more fun through our own potions,” said Matt D’Amour, co-founder of Yumbutter. “High-protein nut butter makes an excellent partner for probiotics, so it seemed like the perfect fit.”
Yumbutter added 1 billion CFU of probiotics per serving, the amount recommended to support digestive and immune health, as well as enhance protein utilization as a part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
