While the health and wellness space remains hotly trend-driven, the era of generic diets is fading as consumers increasingly demand personalized solutions. From AI-powered multimodal meal cataloging to bespoke holiday diet plans based on DNA analysis, the industry is witnessing a surge in customized offerings, reflecting a growing desire for precision nutrition.

According to Innova Market Insights’ global market overview, half of consumers this year are eager to try personalized nutrition solutions, with one in three using apps to help create a tailored nutrition plan.

“The landscape of personalized nutrition is evolving at a fast pace. Lifesum and fitness app FIIT recently partnered to launch a combined corporate wellness solution aimed at helping organizations combat employee burnout and address the US$47.6 billion annual productivity loss in the US.

The program allows employees to sync workout and nutrition data across both apps for a complete health overview of exercise, calorie burn, and recovery needs.

Svanfeldt points to Lifesum’s acquisition of Lykon, a leading European company specializing in biomarker-based nutrition, as a major step forward for the brand. “By leveraging Lykon’s expertise, we can now capture precise biomarker data, offering deeper insights into how individuals uniquely respond to their diet.”

Bespoke nutrition tourism

Personalized wellness is quickly crossing into tourism, with hotels using guests’ biometrics and predictive analysis to offer hyper-bespoke dietary advice and services.
