Nutricosmetics at “brink of revolution”: Nexira unveils NutriBeauty Range for skin, hair care and anti-aging
10 Mar 2021 --- Nexira has unveiled a new line of ingredients, the NutriBeauty Range, for skin care, hair care and anti-aging nutricosmetics NPD.
The range seeks to address consumer demands for supplements to enhance beauty from within.
“The global nutricosmetics market has experienced massive growth in the past few years. Nutricosmetics, which first hit the market in the 1980s, is now on the brink of a major revolution,” Julie Impérato, marketing manager for Nexira, tells NutritionInsight.
“The global market was valued at US$5.36 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach US$8.76 billion by 2027. Its importance has significantly increased, as consumers seek products that can provide beauty benefits and improve skin health from the inside out,” she highlights.
Banking on natural ingredients
There is also an increasing demand for simply formulated, minimally processed natural products, including plant-based supplements, Impérato says.
“Nexira invests daily in preserving nature through a wide range of certified organic, vegan and non-GMO ingredients. Our extraction methods are respectful of the raw material and the environment,” she adds.
Nexira has selected a complete range of natural ingredients “with an upgrade” thanks to its industrial know-how.
The NutriBeauty Range can deliver a radiant complexion, boosted or plumped skin, or hair with added vitality with its Glow & Beauty, Youth & Prevention and Hair & Nails Care offerings.
A key promise of the Glow & Beauty line is improved luminosity, with solutions that provide antioxidant protection, correct imperfections and reveal the beauty of the skin.
Nexira’s wide range of natural botanical extracts, specialties and powders include active ingredients such as Oli-Ola and VinOseed that promote a glowing complexion.
For younger and smoother-looking skin, the Youth & Prevention line provides natural ingredients that pledge to improve firmness and elasticity and encourage cell regeneration.
Through the Hair & Nails Care line, the NutriBeauty range also offers ingredients that strengthen tired hair and weak nails, resulting in renewed, lustrous hair and brilliant nails.
Beautiful skin from within
The skin’s maintenance requires appropriate topical cosmetic care, as well as a supply of quality nutrients from within. The skin needs to be nourished in order to perform at its best and look its most radiant, the company says.
This is where the positive impact of using nutricosmetics comes into play. Skin renewal takes place in the hypodermis and dermis, which means that when using topical products, such as moisturizing creams, serums, and lotions, their impact is limited.
However, nutrients provided by orally ingesting supplements are able to act from the inside – within the deeper layers of the skin. Nutricosmetics are formulated to act in synergy with beauty routines.
Stand-out applications
The desire for emotional and sensory consumption is being met with an emergence of new formats, including functional drinks, vials, droppers, and gummies, Imperato explains.
“As an example, the hibiscus extract obtained brings a pink to purple color with a fruity, slightly tart flavor, for an intense sensory experience.”
“We propose a combination of our prickly pear extract Cactinea with our grape seed extract VinOseed to offer a solution rich in antioxidants that protects the skin from external aggressors like pollution or UV rays, providing a luminous glow,” she suggests
For deep anti-aging care, Nexira suggests combining its acerola extract containing 17 percent native vitamin C with its marine magnesium Simag. This formulation stimulates cell regeneration and promotes collagen synthesis in the dermis, resulting in firm, regenerated skin.
Lastly, Impérato says that the company’s beauty prescription to fortify hair is to combine its hydrolyzed rice proteins Prothy R80 and its nettle leaf extract to protect the hair from aggressors and restructure it from the inside providing strength, suppleness and shine.
