NextFoods unveils organic prebiotic sparkling water for healthy digestion
04 Mar 2024 --- Whole body health company NextFoods has launched a range of organic prebiotic water under its gut health innovation brand GoodBelly and cherry gummies for its sports nutrition brand Cheribundi. The products will be showcased in further detail at Natural Products Expo West 2024, Anaheim, US.
“NextFoods always innovates with health and sustainability in mind, from lowering sugar to introducing convenient new formats. We took that approach with the launch of GoodBelly prebiotic sparkling water and the careful selection of blue agave prebiotic fiber,” says Juan Gluth, chief commercial officer of NextFoods.
The blue agave-based prebiotics provide 3 g of fiber with no added sugar, averaging less than 20 calories in each serving. The vegan, gluten-free waters are made with fruit juice and supports healthy digestion. The drinks are available in mixed berry, lemon-lime and mango-pineapple flavors.

Prebiotics, like those in blue agave fiber, work with probiotics to help provide digestive benefits. GoodBelly’s prebiotic sparkling water is a good pairing with its range of probiotic juice drinks, shots, supplements and fast melts.
“With billions of views on social media, gut health is certainly top of mind for consumers. The GoodBelly business has witnessed remarkable growth, doubling sales over the last decade, and we are excited to bring something entirely new to meet this growing demand for healthy digestion,” says Gluth.
In 2023, NextFoods, the parent company of GoodBelly merged with all-natural sports nutrition company Cheribundi to capture category and product synergies and focus on whole-foods-based nutrition to seize functional and beverage trends.
In 2022, GoodBelly unveiled its kids’ beverages and immune support probiotics line to provide digestive benefits and nutrient absorption for consumers of all ages.
The company also launched a range of quick-dissolving, clinically proven probiotic powders targeting immunity and digestion.
Cherry gummies
NextFoods Cheribundi brand introduces tart cherry gummies for active wellness-seekers and the sports nutrition segment. The gummies contain an antioxidant-rich tart cherry juice that supports sleep, recovery and overall health.
“Cheribundi tart cherry juice has been shown to reduce inflammation and improve sleep. We listened to our consumers and will offer those benefits in a gummy format to continue sharing the cutting edge of natural sports nutrition and wellness,” says Gluth.
The new products are finalists for the Nexty Award for best functional food or Beverage at the trade show.
