GoodBelly unveils immune-supporting probiotic beverages
04 Mar 2022 --- US-based probiotics company GoodBelly is unveiling its GoodBelly Kids beverages and GoodBelly Immune Support probiotics line to provide digestive benefits and nutrient absorption for consumers of all ages.
GoodBelly Kids is the company’s first multi-serve probiotic beverage designed particularly for children. GoodBelly Immune Support may deliver a potent dose of probiotics which have been shown to boost the immune system and lessen the frequency, length and symptoms of a cold.
The Immune Support products will be available in two formats: multi-serve juice quarts and shots for ease of use at home or on the road.
“Supporting gut health is important at any age – especially now, as we’ve seen significant growth during the last two years with consumers seeking the benefits of probiotics for vital immune and digestive system support,” says Juan Gluth, CEO of NextFoods, makers of GoodBelly.
“Our new GoodBelly Kids and GoodBelly Immune Support probiotic beverages offer daily doses of our most widely researched probiotic strains in drinks that are easy to incorporate into daily routines.”
Eying immunity through probiotics
The Kids beverages are made with probiotic strain Lactobacillus Plantarum 299v studied in over 16 research trials, the company notes. The items are touted as helping to balance the gut and promote healthy digestion, available in 32oz quarts.
Fruit Punch Party, Apple Juice Adventure, and Berry Blast Off are USDA Organic, non-GMO, dairy-free, vegan, and soy-free flavors for kids supplemented with choline to support brain development and proper muscle mobility.
Meanwhile, the GoodBelly Immune Support Quarts is a blend of scientifically proven strains Lactobacillus Plantarum HEAL9 and Lactobacillus Paracasei 8700:2. Studies reveal the new quarts can support the body’s immune system, the company adds. Each flavor – pineapple passionfruit and citrus guava – is USDA Organic, non-GMO, dairy-free, vegan, soy-free, has no added sugar and comes in a 32oz carton.
Immune Support Shots from GoodBelly
The Immune support shots include the same powerful combination of probiotics as the Immune Support Quarts but are packaged in 2.7oz single servings, making them ideal for at-home or on-the-go use. Pineapple Passionfruit and Lemon Ginger Turmeric are USDA Organic, non-GMO, dairy-free, vegan, soy-free and sugar-free.
“At GoodBelly, we are all about gut health. Our team continues to develop new formats to make taking probiotics even easier. We are looking forward to relaunching our 12-Day Challenge to support consumers as they build this new habit and their overall wellness,” says Gluth.
In April, GoodBelly will relaunch the GoodBelly 12 Day Challenge, an approach to see how probiotics can improve general health after just 12 days.
Probiotic space expands
According to the company, consumers are looking for healthy and simple probiotic solutions more than ever.
A new probiotic products forecast analysis conducted by GoodBelly unveiled the probiotic market is predicted to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 7.71% between 2021 and 2025, with 30% of customers searching out beverages enriched with immune-boosting ingredients.
Tracking GoodBelly’s previous moves
GoodBelly previously launched a range of probiotic powders – GoodBelly To Go Fast Melts – quick to dissolve and help with immunity and digestion.
Product innovation, distribution gains, increased velocity and strong growth within the e-commerce channel with its direct-to-consumer platform such as Amazon have contributed to GoodBelly’s growth in the last two years.
Another factor affecting the company’s growth was Aldi’s national expansion of GoodBelly Probiotic Pomegranate Blackberry Juice 32oz products in July 2021.
