Nestlé Provides Insights to ‘Nourishing Malaysia’

04/02/09 As part of its on-going efforts towards being the world’s leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad will open its doors to the people of Sarawak; offering insights into the heart of its business and initiatives taken to support the Government’s efforts to encourage healthier diets and active lifestyles
The Nestlé Nourishing Malaysia Showcase, which will make its debut in Kuching on February 7, 2009, has previously been held twice in Kuala Lumpur. The event showcases Nestlé’s products, activities and services vis-à-vis the company’s commitment to Nutrition, Health and Wellness. With the consumer being at the heart of everything that Nestlé does, the Showcase is open to members of the public.
The Showcase will be held at the Permata Exhibition Hall on 7 & 8 February, 2009 from 10 am to 7 pm, and will allow visitors to learn how the company has evolved in its journey to becoming the world’s leading and trusted Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company and being a leader in nutrition.

Visitors to the Showcase can expect to see:
* Nestlé’s latest products – innovation and renovation with branded active benefits for added value nutrition and affordable nutrition through our Popularly Positioned Products (PPP) addressing nutrients commonly deficient in the country (e.g. iron)
* Nestlé’s efforts to complement the Ministry of Health’s 10 Year Nutrition Action Plan by helping consumers achieve a healthier and balanced diet through healthier products ~ the development of products with less sugar, less salt, less fat, etc.
* Efforts to help reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases through promotion of healthy and active lifestyles, dissemination of information and development of relevant products
* Cooking demonstrations and product sampling
* Halal and R&D Network Exhibition
* Nestlé’s Creating Shared Value initiatives
In addition to highlighting the latest Nestlé innovations and services, the two-day public event also has activities for the entire family such as health-screenings (BMI, Blood Sugar & Cholesterol checks); Healthy Cooking demonstrations by a celebrity chef; exercise sessions; dance sessions; Nestlé mascot parade; and colouring contest. Entrance to the Showcase is free-of-charge.
