Naturex disputes Vitiva market share claim
Naturex said that Vitiva is certainly not a leading company in the rosemary extract market.
02/11/05 In a recent press release, Mr. Ohad Cohen, CEO of Vitiva, stated that, “Vitiva owns 70% of today’s market share of active ingredients of Rosemary extracts in Europe.” President and CEO of Naturex Jacques Dikansky responded by stated that, “This information is incredibly untrue and it is an absolutely false representation of this company. Vitiva is certainly not a leading company in this market”.
Moreover, Dikansky pointed out, a group constituted by the four main producers of Rosemary extracts in Europe (including Naturex) has been created in order to register Rosemary extracts as antioxidants with the European Legislation. “Vitiva is not a member of this group and has never been involved in the funding of any of the registration processes or clinical / toxicological studies that relate to this project”, Dikansky commented.
