IQ Pouch launches nootropic oral pouches for cognitive energy
Key takeaways
- IQ Pouch is a nicotine-free oral pouch that uses paraxanthine to provide clean energy and focus without the jitters or crashes of traditional caffeine.
- The product was created as a functional alternative to nicotine habits and designed for daily cognitive performance rather than occasional energy boosts.
- Each pouch contains a blend of paraxanthine, L-theanine, and vitamins to support mental stamina for athletes, entrepreneurs, and gamers.

IQ Pouch has launched its next-generation oral pouch delivering Enfinity paraxanthine, which is the primary metabolite of caffeine and the body’s active energy compound. It is designed to deliver “clean, repeatable focus and energy” in a format designed for daily routines, without nicotine, sugar, or traditional caffeine crashes.
The portable product was created by entrepreneur Brad Pyatt, founder of global sports nutrition company MusclePharm and functional nutrition brand Trubar. He says the inspiration for IQ Pouch came from a deeply personal challenge.
“I created IQ Pouch out of necessity,” he notes. “After battling a decade-long nicotine habit, I needed something that could replace the ritual without the addiction.”
“As someone who has spent my career building performance brands for athletes, I wanted a product that delivered clean focus and energy in a smarter way. IQ Pouch became that solution.”

Not for occasional boosts
IQ Pouch is designed for daily performance routines, unlike traditional energy drinks, which were built for occasional boosts, according to the brand. The product was developed over more than three years and represents what the company calls “smart energy” — a new category of cognitive performance delivery.
“Most people don’t realize that when you drink caffeine, your body has to break it down before you get the real performance compound,” Pyatt says. “That compound is paraxanthine.”
“By delivering it directly, we’re able to provide smoother energy, clearer focus, and none of the jittery crash people experience with traditional energy drinks.”
In addition to paraxanthine, IQ Pouch is infused with a “precision blend” of performance ingredients including L-theanine to support calm focus, Cognizin citicoline for cognitive performance, and Rhodiola rosea for mental stamina.
Launched with three flavors, Mint Mode, Citrus, and Spiced, IQ Pouch also contains vitamins B6 and B12 for energy metabolism. It targets the high-performance consumer segment, including athletes, entrepreneurs, gamers, and creators, who seek sustained mental stamina throughout the day.
“Athletes train their bodies every day, but cognitive performance is just as important,” adds Pyatt. “IQ Pouch was built for people who demand more from their energy — whether they’re competing, building companies, or simply performing at their highest level.”
The brand is building partnerships across sports, performance culture, and creator communities.
“We have some incredibly exciting partnerships and collaborations that we’ll be unveiling in the coming weeks,” Pyatt says. “IQ Pouch is more than a product — it’s the beginning of a movement around smarter energy.”
Energy innovations
In other activities in the energy space, BioVivo Science launched a natural caffeine at the recent Expo West trade fair in California, US. The ingredient is sourced exclusively from green tea and offers a clean label alternative to synthetic caffeine.
For Valentine’s Day, Bloom Nutrition released a limited-edition Strawberry Rose Sparkling Energy Drink, featuring a dedicated customizable side with a “To:/From:” spot and “xoxo” hearts, allowing consumers to address their Valentine directly on the packaging.
In research, one study suggested caffeine might play a role in slowing down the aging process at a cellular level — by tapping into an ancient cellular energy system. The analysis of fission yeast — a single-celled organism “surprisingly similar” to human cells — found that caffeine helps cells sustain life.
