InfiAid to be Certified by the NSF Certified for Sport Program
The NSF Certified for Sport Program is the only athletic banned substances certification program recognized by Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players Association and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport.
17/08/06 NSF International has announced that InfiAid, manufactured by Infinity 2 Health Sciences, is the first and only dietary supplement to be certified by the NSF Certified for Sport Program. Infinity 2 is a wholly-owned division of EcoQuest International.
The NSF Certified for Sport Program is the only athletic banned substances certification program recognized by Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players Association and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport. The program minimizes the risk that a dietary supplement or sports nutrition product contains banned substances.
“The Certified for Sport designation is critical to help athletes and consumers make more informed decisions when it comes to choosing dietary supplements,” said Kathleen Jordan, MS, RD, director of NSF’s Certified for Sport Program. “With NSF Certification, athletes and consumers can be confident that InfiAid does not contain banned substances.”
“We have said for many years that one reason for so many teams and athletes continuing to use our products is because of the cleanliness and effectiveness of the products,” said Shan Stratton, vice president, sports marketing for Infinity 2. “We have always emphasized health first and now we are guaranteeing it.”
To obtain certification, Infinity 2’s InfiAid™ was evaluated by NSF to demonstrate that what is on the label matches the content of the product. The program is designed to minimize the risk of testing positive for athletic banned substances as a result of taking dietary supplements and sports nutrition products.
