Fortitech Europe Appoints Martin Austin as New Managing Director
Austin will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Fortitech Europe’s operations, including manufacturing, technical, purchasing, finance and sales; from the company’s state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Gadstrup, Denmark.
08/01/08 Fortitech Europe ApS, part of the global network of manufacturing and distribution companies of Fortitech, Inc., the world leader in the development of custom nutrient premixes, has announced the appointment of Martin Austin as managing director/general manager. Austin will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Fortitech Europe’s operations, including manufacturing, technical, purchasing, finance and sales; from the company’s state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Gadstrup, Denmark.

With more than 15 years of experience, working with Firmenich UK Ltd, a division of the 1.5 billion global flavor and fragrance company, Austin was personally responsible for leading and developing the UK division, enabling it to satisfy external client expectations, while satisfying legal and corporate duties. He is a driven manager with proven leadership skills and a well-rounded holistic view of business. Prior to his role with Firmenich, Austin served as the development and marketing director for Beatrice Swift Limited and in various management and technical roles with Masterfoods.
Austin is a member of the Institute of Directors, has a BSc Hons Degree (2:1) in Food Technology from the University of Reading, is a Chartered Scientist and a Fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology.
