Fenchem Reports Sales Rise for AstaMarin Product
30 Oct 2014 --- AstaMarin is reported a booming increase in third quarter revenue compared with the same period in 2013, mainly driven by the Novel foods notification.
With the Novel Foods approval, now Fenchem can market AstaMarin (5% and 10%) in the EU for use in the dietary supplements. The annual demand is estimated to 6MT and the sales will be up to 10million USD.
“We will continue focusing on the abundant opportunities presented in Europe.” said Mr. Liang, Sales Manager. “Our branched offices in Germany and Czech Republic are expected to strengthen our position as a qualified supplier to the local customers.”
Fenchem has got the formal notification for the product AstaMarinTM from the European Commission in accordance with Article 5 of Regulation EC No. 258/97. The notification is substantial equivalence of an Astaxanthin-Rich Extract of Haematococcus pluvialis algae (AstaMarin TM) with the existing Astaxanthin Products (BioAstin).
