DSM Nutritional Products Launches Concentrated DHA Powder for Infant Nutrition
Despite the high DHA content, it does not give the typical off flavour caused by oxidation of the oil in the powder, a problem associated with many omega-3 products on the market.
15 Mar 2010 --- Leading nutritional ingredients producer DSM Nutritional Products is launching a new DHA-rich omega-3 powder for the infant nutrition sector. ROPUFA '15' N-3 High DHA Powder S/SD is derived from natural tuna oil which contains DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), as well as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), the other important omega-3, at levels matched to human breast milk and ideally suited to infant formulas.
The new powder does not require flavours to mask the taste and has a balanced composition, meaning it satisfies the stringent demands of regulation and the infant nutrition industry.
