Country Life Vitamins targets women’s hormonal imbalances throughout life cycle

13 Sep 2021 --- Country Life Vitamins has unveiled Women’s Line, supplements targeting key aspects of the female body to help ensure that women get the care and support they need daily.

“Women’s Line is formulated specifically to target female hormone fluctuation symptoms and body functions, which works to promote strong and healthy female minds and bodies,” Audrey Ross, senior national educator at Country Life Vitamins, tells NutritionInsight.

The line includes four plant-based formulas. These are PMS Rescue, Menopause Rescue, Libido Rescue and Urinary Tract Care. The formulas are certified gluten-free, vegan (PMS Rescue & Urinary Tract Care), vegetarian (Libido Rescue & Menopause Rescue), and come in a blister pack.

“When we created this line of supplements, we wanted to target a woman’s daily needs, regardless of what stage of life she is currently in,” adds Ross.

PMS Rescue
The product helps to reduce PMS symptoms like cramps, water retention, moodiness and breast tenderness.

“The PMS Rescue includes magnesium, cramp bark powder, Safr’Inside saffron extract and black cohosh extract. This combination of ingredients helps provide a synergistic formula that can support each woman’s symptom issues,” explains Ross.

In June, Pharmactive’s Affron ingredient, a saffron extract, was linked to improved psychological symptoms in perimenopausal women in a study.

Menopause Rescue
The multi-component menopause formula improves menopausal women’s quality of life by reducing hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, sleeplessness and vaginal dryness.

“The Menopause Rescue includes EstroG-100 herbal blend and Lifenol hops extract. The multi-component menopause formula supports menopausal women’s quality of life by providing the clinically tested EstroG-100 ingredients that have been shown to reduce some of the most common menopausal symptoms,” Ross describes.

Libido Rescue
The Libido Rescue supplement promotes arousal and desire, a calm and relaxed mood, and healthy hormonal levels.

“The Libido Rescue has vitamin D, fenugreek extract and L-Theanine. Often with hormone levels changing and stress, women can struggle with decreased sexual desire,” adds Ross.

“The LibiFem ingredient has been clinically tested and shown to support a woman’s sexual health. Combined with the L-theanine to promote a calm and relaxed mood, women now have a product that can support their needs.”The PMS Rescue includes magnesium and saffron extract to alleviate moodiness and cramping.

Previously, Fenusmart, an organic extract of fenugreek, was found to support hormonal balance and improve sexual dysfunction among young, healthy women, according to a study.

Urinary Tract Care
The Urinary Tract Care supplement is formulated for “advanced urinary tract support.” It helps to maintain a healthy urinary tract and cleanses the bladder.

“The Urinary Tract Care includes Pro Cran d’Or cranberry fruit powder, D-Mannose, buchu leaf extract and uva ursi extract that help support overall urinary tract health. Women at all stages can benefit from a healthier urinary tract system,” explains Ross.

Also, Country Life Vitamins’ sister brand, Biochem, released a Natural Testosterone Booster, comments Ross.

“It includes clinically studied testofen fenugreek extract which shows to increase free testosterone levels – which would be the male version of the Libido Rescue as it promotes sexual desire and lean muscle mass in men,” adds Ross.

Industry players have shown interest in natural ingredients that aid in women’s health. In this space, Ami Wellness previously launched a pain relief line that targets symptoms of PMS and menopause. It is based on adaptogen ingredients. 

Also, an industry roundtable previously flagged that women are looking for natural or less artificial alternatives to help them attain maximum health.
