3/1/2011 --- At a ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland Chr. Hansen and Vinamilk, a leading Vietnamese dairy corporation, officially signed an agreement formalizing a strategic cooperation on bioscience-based nutrition products for Vietnamese children.
The first result of the cooperation is a new nutrition product for children under the brand name “Dielac Pedia”. The infant formula product which will be launched in Vietnam shortly contains a blend of Chr. Hansen’s flagship probiotic strains BB-12 and LGG.
“I am very pleased to have signed this cooperation agreement which will further develop our partnership with Vinamilk that has been working very well for years already,” comments Chr. Hansen’s Henrik Dalboege, Executive Vice President, Health & Nutrition Division. “We are already a trusted supplier of documented probiotics for Vinamilk’s nutrition products for children but I anticipate that this cooperation agreement will bring us even close together while working on our shared task: to develop nutritional products with proven health benefits for consumers, in this case Vietnamese children.”
“The unfulfilled nutritional needs of children differ from country to country, relying on various factors such as socio-economy and living habits. The thorough understanding of such needs is a good point of departure for Vinamilk to develop specific nutritional products for Vietnamese children”, says Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Executive Director of R&D and Production, Vinamilk.
“Our strategic cooperation with Chr. Hansen will significantly support us in developing breakthrough products in world-class quality which fit the needs of Vietnamese children.”
