Carotech Achieves GMP Certification

20/11/07 Carotech has received GMP certification (Good Manufacturing Practices) from the National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau, Ministry of Health, Malaysia. This latest certification is of importance as Carotech is the first and only tocotrienol producer to achieve GMP certification under the GMP rules for pharmaceuticals / dietary supplements.
It further demonstrates our continuing role as the leader in quality among tocotrienol producers.
Carotech was the first plant in the world to commercially extract natural full spectrum tocotrienol complex (Tocomin / Tocomin SupraBio) a potent form of natural Vitamin E), mixed carotene complex (Caromin), and phytosterols (Stelessterol) from virgin crude palm oil (Elaeis guineensis). The extraction technology is protected through a worldwide patent.
Carotech commenced production in 1995 and has since successfully carved a niche and become the largest producer of full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex in the world. This phytonutrient is produced to the specific needs and specifications of customers and are mainly used in dietary supplements, pharmaceutical products, functional food/drinks, and cosmetic applications.
