BioGaia Signs Probiotic Distribution Agreement in Taiwan
BioGaia already has an agreement with Unilab Group for distribution of the tablets in the Philippines, and with Unilab's subsidiary in China, SUCB, for the drops.
18 April 2012 --- BioGaia has signed an agreement with Unilab Group, for the exclusive rights to sell BioGaia's probiotic drops and tablets in Taiwan. The products will be sold under the BioGaia brand and launch is planned to 2012.
Unilab Group, based in the Philippines, is a leading pharmaceutical and healthcare company in South East Asia. In Taiwan a distributor called Avipha Biotechnology Co., Ltd, will sell the products, which will be marketed under BioGaia's own brand. Both products contain BioGaia's patented and well-researched probiotic strain Lactobacillus reuteri Protectis. Today the drops are available in 51 countries worldwide and the tablets in 46.
