Gonmisol to distribute K. Patel Phyto Extractions’ Ayurvedic botanical extracts in Europe

Nutraceutical distributor Gonmisol, a subsidiary of SuanNutra, has entered an exclusive agreement with India-based K. Patel Phyto Extractions to distribute its portfolio of science-backed Ayurvedic botanical extracts across the EU and the UK.

Highlighting the growing global demand for Ayurveda-based nutrients in the US, SuanNutra has also secured North American commercialization rights to select botanical extracts from the K. Patel line.

Gonmisol and K. Patel Phyto Extractions will collaborate on innovating new Ayurvedic solutions, initially focusing on women’s health and metabolic wellness. The market for these two trending health categories is currently experiencing a significant proliferation of natural solutions, note the partners.

“This collaboration underscores our commitment to bringing trusted, high-quality, science-backed botanical solutions to the European market,” says SuanNutra CEO, Anthony Weston. “We are proud to deepen our relationship with K. Patel, a long-standing partner whose values of quality and innovation mirror our own.”

“Ayurveda, with its millennia-old heritage, offers a treasure trove of wellness solutions that aligns perfectly with the growing demand for natural wellness products.”

Women’s health botanicals portfolio

Headquartered in Mumbai, India, K. Patel Phyto Extractions has been active in phytoextracts since 2005. The supplier has a broad range of herbal extracts, phytochemicals, and food ingredients produced in Global Manufacturing Practices-compliant, US FDA audited facilities with an extraction capacity exceeding 6,000 metric tons annually.

K. Patel Phyto Extractions’ range of Ayurvedic extracts include women’s health botanicals such as shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) and fenugreek, as well as green coffee, triphala, gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre), ginger, and curcumin — all developed to satisfy the demand for natural botanically derived metabolic aids.

Shatavari is gaining traction as a phytoestrogenic adaptogen supporting estrogen balance, libido, and emotional resilience, while fenugreek is used for postpartum recovery and female metabolic balance, including concerns related to polycystic ovarian syndrome, notes the supplier.

While Ayurveda-based products were traditionally considered niche in Western markets, the company says increasing acceptance under EU regulations is accelerating this movement in Europe.

SuanNutra says data forecasts the global Ayurvedic supplement market to grow substantially over the next few years. Women’s health, weight balance, and metabolic function are topping the charts as primary health categories.

Notably, it says consumers are actively seeking natural support for hormonal health, menstrual regulation, perimenopause, fertility, and libido.

“There is an undeniable ‘white space’ for female-focused Ayurvedic supplements addressing hormonal, metabolic, and digestive balance,” says Maria Ángeles Gutiérrez Montero, marketing director of SuanNutra. “We consistently receive requests for such holistic solutions to address them.”

“Thanks to this strategic alliance, we can secure our presence in these health categories with full synergized capabilities. With our combined strengths, we will develop new branded ingredients based on the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda.”

Complementary to the Ayurvedic offerings, Gonmisol offers a diverse portfolio of naturally sourced ingredients, including botanicals, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.

360° supply chain management

K. Patel Phyto Extractions highlights its 360° supply chain-management system, which it claims ensures “complete traceability from farm to finished product.” The company works with 100% natural ingredients, sourced locally.

The company also supports the contractual farming of herbs to provide produce that is free from harmful substances and contaminants, such as pesticides and heavy metals.

Additionally, it invests in rural communities by equipping farmers with technical training, building schools, providing education for their children, and supplying computers and essential equipment.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Gonmisol to bring our heritage-rich, scientifically backed botanical extracts to European formulators,” says Hitesh Patel, managing director at K. Pate Phyto Extractions. “Gonmisol’s deep market knowledge to deliver innovative, nature-derived solutions perfectly aligns with modern consumers’ health aspirations.”

“This collaboration draws on our rich legacy of extraction expertise cultivated over two generations of craftsmanship. As a partnership built on mutual trust, shared values, and a joint vision, we will effectively deliver gold-standard botanical solutions to European consumers.”
