Kemin celebrated 30 years of its flagship FloraGLO ingredient at Vitafoods Europe 2026, a combination of lutein and zeaxanthin for eye and brain health. Joanne Lasrado, VP global carotenoid and sales and technical services for the Americas, reflected on the evolution of lutein research from eye health into cognition and early life nutrition. She highlighted key clinical studies, the growing relevance of lutein in the digital screen era, and Kemin’s efforts to make eye health more measurable through its FloraGLO EyeQ station at Vitafoods, which assessed levels of macular pigmentation.
